Girl Crush: Bollywood Edition

So this term has been thrown around for a while now but for the uninitiated 'Girl Crush' simply means adoring and admiring another girl in a sense of wanting to be like her or simply wanting to be friends with her.
Long gone are the days of snickering and passing rude comments just because another girl made you green with envy; these days girls are more upfront about their admiration for the members of the same sex
Without further ado, these are my latest girl crushes! (In no specific order)

Deepika Padukone

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why she is on this list; I mean the girl is gorgeous! (The long legs, the big beautiful eyes, the dimpled smile, I could on and on) But what I like about her the most is that she stays true to herself. Her style, her look, her mannerisms, even the way she speaks are all her own and you can't accuse Deepika of jacking someone else's swagger. Comfortable in her own (and very beautiful) skin Deepika Padukone is total girl crush material!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The second word I associate with ARB (the first word being 'beautiful' duh!) is 'dignity'! I think the woman personifies dignity in the way she leads her life. Globally recognised actor, wife, and mother ARB is a living testimony to the fact that we can have it all. This breathtakingly beautiful icon dismisses any criticisms about her weight and says she is happy being who she is; you can't find a better, more empowering role model than her!

Sridevi

The original 'diva', Sridevi's popularity is simply unmatchable, so much so, that in a world obsessed with youth and the next pyts Sridevi's comeback is eagerly awaited by millions. Sridevi is super cute, super adorable, and super funny and proves that girls can look sexy without shedding their clothes, flipping their hair, or pouting. Her playful smile and easy sense of humour make her 100% original and 100% lovable.

Rani Mukerji

Labelled as the Queen of Bollywood in the mid 2000s, this tiger-eyed beauty personifies the word 'effortless' which is simply refreshing in a sea of people trying too hard. Spunky, sassy, and always ready with a bright smile Rani lives her life her way without any excuses or apologies. Her spontaneous acting on-screen and her easy going charm off-screen make her someone you'd want to hang with and someone you'd want to be like.
