They've practically grown up together, and their families have worked and socialised together for years. So when Ekta Kapoor heard that she was being accused of taking a sly dig at Kareena Kapoor through the status message on her phone ("Damaged Psycho + Dumb Bimbo = Heroine") she was shocked.

"The report about the status message is correct, but it wasn't intended for Kareena," Ekta's spokesperson explained. "The barb was actually about the leading lady of her film Kya Super Cool Hain Hum, Neha Sharma. Neha's unprofessional behaviour had annoyed the film's team, and hence the message. Ekta may even be keeping Neha away from the film's promotions," another source close to the soap queen said.

Ekta's chhota bhai Tusshar also jumped into the fray to defend his behna against talk of the animosity. "I've worked with Kareena in four films. She is very close to my family and we're all very fond of her," he said.

"Heroine is a term that can be used for any actress. Dragging Bebo into it was unnecessary," our source added.

EK showing her ugly face finally to Bollywood. Knowing EK's history I knew she will either backtrack or deny it. She doesnt have the guts of take on anyone in a position of power. She just preys on humans who cant give it back to her and take shit from her. Like the poor TV actors and now a newbie actress. She has similarly badmouthed actress Radhika Apte before the release of Tushar's previous film after using her for publicity. Now its the same modus operandi but with a new target. Making insinuations against Bebo ofcourse helped her get some publicity for an otherwise stupid film.

EK you actually turned out to be the stupid one😆She can't really use her power on someone equally powerful.

i saw Ekta ji 3/4 days back @ Pepsi Blu O in Delhi. The lady guard said some "heroine" had come and hence i went to check 😆
