A close friend of mine who is a journalist once wrote to Rashmi Sharma about a particular episode. I saw the copy of his letter in his laptop and i asked his permission if i could share it and he agreed here it is.
"With reference to saath Nibhaana saathiya i have to point out a minor observation. Recently there was an episode where Rashi was Dressing her up in an western outfit and the moment her two mother-in-laws catch her up in that dress they look at her with ridicule.
So my point is that i understand its the story line of a very cultured gujrati family. But with that scene arent we passing conservative message to the people that if you are a bahu and if you dare to wear a western dress than you become a sinner. I think Star Plus touches lives of people all across indian and asian diaspora. And such a thought coming out doesnt reflect Nayi Soch. Why does a wearing a Short dress by a bahu is to be taken as blot on culture. Instead if the scene would have shown hetal and koki telling her that although they are of old views still if she feels happy in those clothes she she can dress up. A person can be evil wearing a saree with ghungta also. Dress cannot define a person of being good or bad. I think the MIL's should give their bahus freedom of choice. My bhabis's wear jeans and my married sister has the liberty to wear skirt even in a joint family. So there are families for whom a persons happiness is more valued than orthodox paramparas. On one way star plus is hitting hardline with satyameva jayate and on the other side such tracks will be dampner on women' freedom of expression. Thats what i believe."

Guys i think this letter is very appropriate because honestly why should dress determine a goodness of a person. This rashmi sharma has gone crack completely.

Similarly Ekta Kapoor has made balaji brand name with her non stop hits.Even if if they streched storyline but still they are still in our memories. Cant forget Itihaas, Bandhan, Kahin to hoga, Koshish ek aasha, Kavita, She made Indian Tv global in world. Even the film HUMRAAZ had a scene of Akshaye khanna watching Kyunki in TV. But look at this rashmi sharma..
