Avika Gor loves dressing up!

Take a look at any teenager around you and you will find that they are most comfortable in casual wear. Jeans, tops, skirts and leggings are the staple outfits found in any young adult's wardrobe. But not Avika Gor. This young wonder is not only different in her choice of roles, but also in her choice of outfits.

We were curious to know whether as a 14 year old, she gets tired of wearing sarees, jewellery and heavy make up every day. But Avika, who was discovered during Balika Vadhu as Anandi and is now playing Roli in Sasural Simar Ka, vehemently disagrees. Says Avika, "Which other 14 year old girl gets to wear such beautiful sarees every day like I do? I love dressing up even in real life so I feel really lucky that I can wear such beautiful outfits on the show." Ok Avika, we are convinced.

Also, playing the role of a married woman at the age of 14 is not too difficult for the young actress. Of course, having played a child bride in Balika Vadhu, being married comes easily to her. On screen, obviously. But Avika feels the two roles are completely different. "In Balika Vadhu, I was a child bride and had to keep fighting with my on-screen husband. In Sasural Simar Ka, I am more grown up and have a mature relationship. It is a challenge for me as an actor to be convincing in a situation that I have never been in myself", asserts Avika.

So Avika has no complaints whatsoever regarding her role as Roli in Sasural Simar Ka. She loves the heavy outfits and also the fact that she is playing wife to an actor more that twice her age. This is one unusual teenager we must say!
