The timing of things happening in one's life can either be deemed as a boon or a bane. In Ahem's case he had clearly told his father that he did not need anyone's help. He thought out his concerns and wanted to talk to Gopi. The talk took him to a new level which he never imagined, leaving him shattered and speechless.
With his mind in this state, a trustworthy Jigar advised him to apologise to his mother using emotive words and empathy in his voice. This got Ahem thinking further that as this is having a negative effect on his mother too that he perhaps he should do just this, which he attempted to but failed.
Was Jigar's advise a boon or a bane? Jigar had good intentions but the idea of this was spurred by Rashi.
In turn Gopi was there to see this interaction between them, with Kokila maintaining her hostility and Ahem attempting to talk to her. This time Gopi did not walk away instead offered him breakfast. He replied that he had a breakfast meeting. This short dialogue had shown Gopi continuing to care for him and him being polite to respond to her, something that in previous times would have annoyed him but now he looks for this.
What is the purpose of the puppy around Ahem? The beauty with puppies are their unconditional love that they give to their owner. It appeared out of no where and deemed to be lost and without his mother symbolised Ahem's current state of being declared as motherless at present. Will his interaction with the puppy transform him to eventually provide this unconditional love to his mum and Gopi? Or is it something else?
Here too is the puppy a boon or a bane for Ahem? He has got something to care for having being detached and disassociated from his newly found relationship with his wife and his bond he had with his mother.
Ahem remains in a state of quandary. Whilst he in mentally processing his interactions it is these boons and banes that could bring about a false sense of security for him and angst. His journey of love of seeing the horizon in sight is further than is made out to be.
