KHUSHI -THE NAME********

😃I have been really fascinated by the way that Arnav always recites Khushi's name. The way he says it whether in anger, irritation, impatience or LOVE ' it always carries so much emotion especially because it is spoken by the husky dulcet tones of Barun Sobti. So I wanted to take this opportunity to look at the name around which evolves this drama that we all so love to love.

⭐️KHUSHI ' means enjoyment, pleasure & above all euphoria as well as making one feel gladness & joy ' instantly all these adjectives remind us of the character & it fits so well. We have seen all these traits in that character depicted so well by Sanaya ' she was after all chosen from amongst a minimum of at least 50 hopefuls. Everyone will agree that the choice was half the reason that this drama has been so successful. Interesting to see the development of Khushi ' from the innocence of a young eighteen year old orphan bought up by an uncle/aunt who she respects & loves like her own parents to then take on the responsibility for debts & then to face the reality of arranging her elder sister's marriage as well as being forced into a marriage herself. Then to be ridiculed continuously but despite all of that not to be defeated but to treat life like her name sake & to try & conquer her predicament.

As her character has matured through life's experiences & so her name has also gone through various changes;

Miss Khushi Kumari Gupta ' official name that comes up again & again 'the use of the full name usually always by ASR is always to make a point of complaint

Chitatiliya- an affectionate expression by Buaji

Sanka Devi ' yet another pet name by Buaji

Chamkeli ' used by ASR's ex-fianc

Khhushhi 'said really huskily by the one & only Arnav ' enough to send a shiver down your spine followed by "Tum dheek hau" or "Are you ok"

Khushi bhabhi ' As Anjali final accepts her into her fold when she realises her brother is besotted with her but now the hatred track will begin & so out goes the respect

KHUUSHHHIII- shouted to be heard in desperation & longing & hurt as Arnav cradles her in his arms willing & begging that she gains consciousness to reveal that she is safe as all sorts of thoughts rush hastily through his mind!!

The reason that prompted me to write this post was the promo & the shouting of her name as with the emotional expression & the tone of voice ' I thought was so poignant that I penned this analysis to share with everyone!! Bit desperate I know ' let me know what you think. My favourite is always the husky quietly spoken one usually after he has made her cry & so wants to know that she is OK!! 😭 👏 😲

You have analyzed "Khushi" really very well and for the reasons you have stated above, I think that is why the character of Khushi is loved so much and ofcourse, I feel that the character of Khushi would not have come to LIFE so beautifully had it not been Sanaya infusing the life she has in the character!

There's much to be said by the way he says her name - in fact, I think it says alot about the emotions that are suppressed!

I really enjoyed your analysis of "KHUSHI" - I think it was bang on! The beauty of Arnav and Khushi is that they don't need to speak to converse - their eyes do all the talking for them. For that, hats off to Sanaya and Barun, they are damm good actors to be so convincing. Not only do they have chemistry, but they also have physics, biology, calculus, aerodynamics and a "science" that I'm yet to wrap my head around! 😆
