Scene 9

Anandi and Shiv finished their food and as Anandi closed up the boxes Shiv opened a bottle of water. He washed his hands and then got off the jeep to go towards Anandi's side.

'ye lijiye aap bhi haath dho lijiye' he said unfastening the cap of the bottle.

Anandi got off the jeep and as shiv poured water she washed her hands.

'Chalain abh chalthay hain' said shiv

'Ashi aapkay baray main puch rahi thi' said shiv while driving

'acha! ' smiled Anandi

Mujhe bhi unko bohot yaad aathi hai. Voh bohot achi hai aur dil ki bohot saaf' continued Anandi

'are yaar ye abh ashi kay baray main shuru ho gayi? maine tho aise hi topic cheda tha ki kuch baat karayn' thought shiv

'vaise voh jald hi waapis aayegi, aur usnay kaha ki is dafa voh jetsar main puray ek hafta rahegi , aur voh bhi aapkay ghar per' laughed shiv

'Aur nahi tho kya, main thori na unhay kahin aur rehnay ko kahungi' agreed Anandi

The very thought of Ashi brought a wide smile on Anandi's face. She looked at shiv seriously and thought why he would reject a girl like Ashi. He does like her but does not want to go beyond friendship.

'aur appko voh roz shopping kerwa ker thaka degi' continued shiv, smiling at the thought. 'And I am sure, puray jetsar kay dukaanon ko khali ker degi' he laughed out

'Waise uska maksad sirf Indian culture seekhna nahi hai, voh koi aur vajay sey bhi yahan per aathi hai' Anandi said with a sly smile

'acha kya?' said shiv thoughtfully

Anandi decided to remain silent. She did not want to add anything to this conversation as she remembered Dadisa warning her not to get involved.

Anandi just shook her head and went on to open up another book.

After 2 hours:

'Aur kithni dair hai' She asked looking at shiv again

'Amm 10 min main hum pahunch jayengay' He said looking at his watch.

Shiv took an exit from the main road which led to local streets.

'Hum abhi main office ja rahe hain kya?' she asked

'Nahi' Meeting sham ko rakhi gayi hai ' Shiv said

'To tab tak main kahan rukungi. Aapnay hotel book kiya hai kya?' she asked.

Anandi knew that Shiv had offered to take her to his house but she did not really expect him to. It would be very troublesome for his family and not to mention awkward for her

Shiv looked at her with almost an irritated expression but quickly changed it and said 'Maine aapko kal hi bataya tha na, ki ghar per hi sabh intezaam ho chukka hai'

Anandi's heart started to race. She was not sure as to why she felt that way. Shiv had visited haveli and enjoyed the hospitality that was given to him, then why was she behaving so peculiarly and refusing to accept the same in return?

Shiv drove in front of a Huge Black Gate, which was designed to match the Rajputna households. He honked three times and Anandi saw a man wearing red turban and white salwar kameez running towards the gate.

'Chotay Hukum, aa gaye' she heard him shout

Anandi heard more voices but she could not see their owners.

'Raman Singh, Inka samaan' Shiv said pointing to the man. He did not have to say much as Raman singh ran towards the jeep to get the luggage out.

'Anandi ji, aayiye' Said shiv as he waved his hand as a sign of welcome.

Anandi did not smile. She looked at the haveli in front of her. It was bigger than Jetsar's haveli. It had a Traditional yet Modern touch to it.

Anandi saw couple of men coming towards shiv. He went forward and hugged them after giving respects.

Anandi ji, ye meray chachu hai aur ye meray bade bhai Rithul. Waise bade bhai hai lekin mujhmay aur inmay sirf 2 min ka fark hai : ). Said shiv putting his hand

Anandi showed her respects and smiled at them. She looked at Rithul. He was as tall as Shiv and matched him in his personality and looks. Even the way he smiled showed a strong family trait. Filled with kindness and respect.

Aur chachu ye hai, Anandi ji. Jetsar gaon ki sarpanch. Said Shiv with a hint of pride in his voice.

Anandi gave a faint smile at the mention of her qualifications.

Inhe thum yahan dhoop main hi khada karogay ya andhar bhi leker aaogay. Said Neel

Neel was slightly shorter in height in comparison to shiv and Rithul. His hairline was receding. He seemed to be in his early 50s.

'Shamita dekho kon aa gaya hai' called out Neel. Just then a lady appeared at the doorstep. Two other ladies accompanied her. One of them seemed quite young and the other older.

Aayiye Anandiji, Said Shiv

Shiv went towards the door and looked at one of the older ladies. She wore a beautiful saree and had her hair nicely tied in a bun. Her face was kind and eyes filled with tears. She smiled at Shiv but seemed unable to speak.

Shiv, Anandi noticed also had tears in his eyes. He slowly went forward and hugged her.

'Ma, maine aapko kithna miss kiya' He said

Anandi smiled at their union

Shiv's mother took shiv's face in her palms as he bent forward, and kissed his forehead.

He then hugged the other woman besides his mother.

'Chachi'! he said excited and held his heart

'Ek hi nazar main fida!' he said naughtily

'chup natkhat' said Shamita, Shiv's Chachi

'Bhai, sabsey zyada ma nay thumhay miss kiya hai. Honestly bolun meri tho is ghar main value hi nahi hai, har koi bas thumharay hi gun gan kertha rehtha hai, shiv hotha tho ye kertha, shiv aisa kehtha, vagaira vagaira..'

Said rithul with a twinkle in his eye.

'Acha, bhabi bhi?'retorted shiv back

'OYE' ! said the other young lady besides him. She was wearing a nice saree with her hair let down.

'athay hi shuru ho gaya aap dono' said Naina. Shiv's bhabi and Rithul's wife

but Anandi noticed her eyes flickered towards her more often than at shiv. She knew that they were all curious as to who she was, but she did not want to make her presence known, especially now when Shiv was finally meeting with his family after such a long gap.

'Ahem…Shiv bhaiyya, ye aapkay saath kon hai' said Naina,

Shiv sensed his bhabi's tone and realized she was teasing him.

' Ma, Chachi and Bhabi, ye Anandiji hai. Jetsar gaon ki sarpanch.'

Meray saath yahan meetings attend kernay aayin hain.

Anandi paid her respects to Shiv's mother, his chachi and as she was about to go towards Naina,

Naina stepped forward and hugged her.

'Anandi, waise main thumhay Anandi keh sakthi hun na? she asked

thum ithni choti ho aur meray khayal sey mujhsey bhi choti ho umer main' asked Naina questioning

'ji…'started Anandi but before she could finish her sentence shiv stepped in

'Han bhabi ye umer main bohot choti hain' Shiv said.

He then stopped to look around and found his mother and chachi smiling at him.

To further avoid embarrassment, he urged his bhabi to take Anandi inside.

Shiv's family wohooo waiting to see that in the serial!!

OOOh Shiv's family...padhte padhte mujhe itna tension ho raha tha unke baare me as if mujhe un sab se milne lekar gaye ho😆...Nice family😉

Wow, this is great... read it all in one go! Waiting to read more about Shiv's family! They sound really nice. I liked the dialogue between Shiv and his chachi, hehehe 😃
