Today's epi begins with everyone in the hall and Toasty complaining that Tej isn't home yet. DadaJi tells them that there is a limit to carelessness. He tells them that will pull Tej's ear when he gets home. Mallti tells them that none of them will even talk to him! Nitika adds, forget talking to him, we won't even look at him!
Tej runs in taking blessings from DadaJi and calls PitaJi, who asks him he's coming home now? Malti joins him and tells Tej that you've gotten home this late, Nitika joins them and says you could've at least phoned! Malti tells him that Toasty has been waiting for 3 hours.
Tej laughs and tells them to at least ask him why he's got home so late.
DadaJi says what's there to ask? You're standing in front of us fit and fine.
Tej smiles and says is it necessary that something bad is to happen? Something good could happen instead.
PitaJi asks what's good in that? That you've been lurking outside the house late at night? Tej beams and says he was eating dinner at his bosses house. Nitika's wide mouthed and Toasty is wide eyed! DadaJi sarcastically says: Ohh, so this is good?
Toasty sulks and says you've already eaten?? Nitika pipes in and tells him that Toasty has been waiting for him, hungry.
Tej asks why they don't let him speak. DadaJi tells him to speak and he takes out his letter. DadaJi tells everyone that he told them to listen and takes out a letter!
PitaJi asks him what it is, Tej tells him that it's a letter, to which PitaJi replies I know that! PitaJi asks what is in it and Tej tells him to read it, it's his promotion letter! He's become a manager. Toasty is clearly happy for him but doesn't show it as the brothers run to hug him.
Tej says the promotion came at the right time, this way his salary will increase and they'll be able to repay the loan.
Malti says that's fine but what about the promise you made Toasty. Nitika agrees. Tej makes a face as he realises he's guilty and Malti tells Tej that she hasn't eaten anything all day as Toasty goes to her room. Malti tells him to go to the kitchen with her first so she can serve him food and he follows her.
Tej enters his room and Toasty is stood by the window and turns her head slightly to see Tej has a tray in his hands. She ignores him and goes to sit on their bed. He joins her. He asks what kind of wife is she? Her husband's salary has increased, he's gotten a promotion.
She asks why couldn't they give the promotion letter at the office tomorrow? Tej agrees.
Toasty complains about the weather being really nice. Tej tells her that tomorrow will be nice weather aswell. If not tomorrow then the day after tomorrow.
He then says if you say, I promise we'll go and have tea every day and go for a walk and Toasty mocks him and makes a face.
She then goes on to speak to herself and says that he doesn't even have the time to phone and inform her and he's planning to out every day.
He gets up and says he'll leave the job and tell his boss that he can live without a job, but can't
She says there's no need. He says how is there no need? He says he can sacrifice many jobs like that for her. She turns her nose.
Then he goes on to be serious and asks her what he can do to calm her anger? He suggests tea with interest. She asks what is that? And he tells her tea and a movie. She gets happy and asks if I's her choice in film? He agrees and tells her that she has to book the tickets and he'll meet her there and then after the film they will have tea.
He turns to take the plate back to the kitchen and she says she's hungry. He mocks her tone and asks if she's hungry then why doesn't she eat? She asks him to feed her and he teases her then feeds.
The next day and there's a meeting at the office, where Divya is staring at her Tej picture on her desktop's background and Tej is listening to Mr Patel. Mr Patel then turns to Divya and tells her to take over. She addresses the staff and keeps staring at her desktop background as she does.
Everyone applauses and then gets up to leave. Tej walks over to Divya and compliments her and tells her how good she is at the presentation then apologises for thinking that she was just a spoilt brat. But he says that he was wrong and that she is an intelligent and nice girl. She tells him that she has two identities. One that he saw before and one that he is seeing now. She says she has to be like that so that she can tell people's intentions.
He asks her what does she think about him? She says that he's hardworking and a good man. He thanks her and says that maybe what she thinks of him is wrong, She agrees and says maybe I am wrong, maybe my dad is wrong, but we both can't be wrong together.
The third part begins with Shobha on the phone to someone, all happy. PitaJi teases Shobha as she gets cut off and complains about the network in the house.
Shobha tells the family that it was her neighbour, whose son sings. PitaJi teases and she tells them all how the son is going to sing in a music competition and DadaJi asks Toasty for some water to interrupt Shobha as she tries to ask DadaJi to let the neighbour's son stay with them but PitaJi says they don't know him. As Toasty comes back with the water, DadaJi tells her in gestures that he didn't really need it.
Shobha starts talking about how if he stays with them and he'll give rent in advance, then Pashu's burden will decrease. PitaJi tells DadaJi that they don't know him, he's a stranger, why would they keep him in their house? To which Pashu agrees. Shobha tells them that she knows him from childhood and asks Pashu to explain to them. But he agrees with PitaJi, just as Gyaan and Prachin walk in.
Shobha sulks. And then tells them that she has already told him that he can stay. She talks about how she'll get disgraced.
Toasty coughs and DadaJi lets her speak. Toasty says there is no harm and PitaJi looks at her in wonder, as do the brothers. She continues that the rent will help her with the loan and asks DadaJi, who agrees. PitaJi tells them to try if they want.
Mr Patel praises Divya whilst going through her presentation and hugs her, and she tells him that Tej helped and he tells her that it's her best presentation. And that they must celebrate. Mr Patel offers to take her to dinner but she declines and tells him that she has already made plans to watch a play with Tej. She asks him to book the tickets and give them to Tej as she has to go for a meeting. Just as she is about to walk out, he stops her with a smile and asks her if she isn't spending too much time with Tej. He tells her that he doesn't have a problem but he's a father. She tells him not to worry. She admits that she likes him but she won't make any move until she gets to know him and will tell her dad first because he'll help.
He says obviously he'll do anything for his daughter.
Divya asks him whether or not he'll have a problem and he tells her of course not, and she hugs him before leaving.
The last part is shown when someone turns up at the house, with suitcases and PitaJi asks who he is. He irritates PitaJi.
Shobha walks in and seeks blessings from her as she tells him to come in and he gives Prachin, DadaJi, Gyaan and PitaJi his bags and says he'll get the rest of his belongings.
Pashu is surprised with all that he's brought and wonders how long he's staying.
He comes back in and gives Shobha desi ghee and a watermelon then takes it from her and puts it down.
PitaJi gives DadaJi a look and the guest asks Pashu to move up.
He asks Shobha to get his belongings in his room. He asks Prachin for the toilet and he points in the direction and asks him to take him there!
PitaJi doesn't want him in the house. Shobha tells him that she has already given her word. PitaJi asks whether she asked them before giving her word? To which DadaJi nods in agreement.
PitaJi and Shobha start irritating each other. She tells him to give a room to him so that he won't have to see him. PitaJi says no room is free.
Toasty suggests giving her room but Malti tugs at her arm to stop her but DadaJi asks her where she'll sleep. She says that they'll adjust with Ved and Nitika but PitaJi says no. Toasty tries to convince them by telling them that it's Malti's in-law's honor they're talking about. PitaJi ends up giving up.
Toasty is on the phone to Tej, in her room where she tells him not to be late for the film as it's no fun if they miss the beginning. He tells her that he won't and that he'll meet her there.
A worker gives Tej an envelope and says it's from the boss for him and Divya. Just as Divya walks in, he asks her in confusion, what the tickets are about.
Divya tells him that it's tickets to a play, he asks why? Divya tells him to go to the side with her, incase someone hears.
Tej seems irritated as he asks her why the tickets. She tells him that her dad wants them to go, together. He asks her why? She tells him so that they can go out and spend time together.
He gets even more irritated and tells her that it's not a part of his job description to go and see a play with her or to take her out. He can't do it. And he adds that Mr Patel shouldn't have booked the tickets without even asking him, why did he do it?
Divya replies that he did it because he likes Tej. Tej tells her that he knows that he likes his hard work, his dedication but Divya stops him halfway and tells him that he likes him for her. He's confused
Tej's phone rings and Divya asks if it's Tanya's call. Tej says that it's his wife's call. She tells him that he knows and he's shocked. He says that you know and yet you're still saying all this rubbish to me.
Tej asks whether Mr. Patel knows that he's married and Divya says no and don't tell him. He asks her if she's lost the plot
At the other end, Toasty is waiting for Tej to answer his call.
Tej tells her that he's a married man, she should be clearing his misunderstanding but she tells him that she doesn't want to hurt her father. He asks why. She says he's happy after so long. And the reason is you.
He asks her what should he do then?? He's a married man. And what will happen when he finds out the truth. He'll be hurt then too.
She replies maybe he won't be here then. The doctor's say he won't live for more than 4 months. She tells him that even she can shout and then rips the tickets up and tells him that she doesn't have any interest in watching a film. Or have a problem if he goes out with his wife. She tells him that he's a good man. Can't he help her put up a pretence?
Precap: Divya asks Avni what is a good man's biggest enemy. She asks who? Divya replies his own goodness. She continues and says that his goodness won't let him live.
Then Toasty finds out, in the kitchen that Mr Patel has cancer and she is in shock.
