I was as shocked as Varun when I read about the truth of Bedias. How come in this century some people like Thakurs are allowed to buy a human being? How could they get license to community abuse like that?How can human being be used like a sex slave like the Bedias ? I wonder is there a single educated human being in Thakurs of that area? Or they are born with animal genes?

Do you support this fact? Do you agree that a community such as ths Rai dancers should be dominated by the society like this? Or does the Thakur got right to use them but not marry?What kind of love is that or what kind of society is that?

It is not about Rai or Thakurs or bednis or is it fair or not!

It is plain and simple prostitution! Which has existed throughout the ages in every culture, every socioeconomic group. It existed in biblical times, it exists now in big cities, villages, India, Britain, US and every other country.

As long as there are men willing to pay for it there will be women selling it and others trying to take advantage of the situation...like the mamas, pimps, madame etc..

There are a million stories out there...This is just another one about a culture we are unfamiliar with! What makes the story interesting is that Sugni is trying overcome her circumstances and Vickram is an enigma that we are all trying to figure out.

Combination of the two makes in very interesting and watchable.

am happy that finally the village got a thakur (TVS) to break this horrible so-called tradition n is in true love with a bedni...by Sugvi this whole thing can b changed
