For us here, we know Sur is going to go, he's going to see, he's going to conquer...
So let me get inside Sandy's head to see what she has in there.

...
and she was singing Bonnie Tyler's song...I need a Hero...
Where have all the good men gone and where are all the gods ?
Where's the street-wise Hercules to fight the rising odds ?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed ?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need
I need a hero, I'm holding out for at hero 'till the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
And he's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero 'till the morning light
He's gotta be sure and it's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life, larger than life
Then she fast forwarded to her own situation in 4 years. Her ultimate dream is to dishum dishum in true Radhika style. (Tamil telly supercop). It's a very predictable dream from here on...
People twice her size just give up and let her haul them into a jeep. Okay maybe there's a constable somewhere to help...but not in Sandy's dream. Her superiors will say 'well done'. She will snap a salute that will sprain her arm again...but no biggie...Sandy with bandaged arm is twice as scary, twice as effective.
This is why Sur thought he better stop her now...
Which brings me to my next random thought... Did anyone think we would ever see the above scene? CVs have such fun don't they?
Sur in cute pink, jumping in alarm at the flying fists.
My heart went out to him today. Not only are they making a big deal out of his lack of English later, they also highlighted something else in the above scene. When this scene first began a few frames before, I, for a moment thought it was Vik Meena scene. When I got over the shock of seeing SurYa my heart sank a tiny bit. Something awry here. Two people so connected, so in love, so determined to support, so attracted to one another... but not yet joined in one sense. It took away from the rest of the episode. How can Sandy claim to want to support him and encourage him when she hasn't fully given or taken. How can Sur communicate his insecurities without first adequately giving and taking. Yes, I mean dbc. How long can this be ignored whenever scenes like the above are shown. It's unrealistic. So when Sur was crumbling during the diabetes book scene, when he teared up, Sandy didn't seem to notice. There's a closeness, an intimacy that's missing. Then she intervenes and tells Bhabo that Sur has something to discuss with Bhabo. What. That's not a good move Sandy. Persuade him to talk to his mother. It's not as if mother and son hate each other, so why?
I don't know how and why Sandy is going to get Bhabo to agree. In the end I hope Bhabo can see her son's heart without Sandy's help. Coz I'm not entirely sure Sandy is qualified. She's too blinkered in her approach to things.
