Well contributing to the poll helps the organisations that help the needy.

From watching the show, we as a society can learn to differentiate what is right in our tradition, and what we need to change. This show is helping us all identify the ills in society. It is an effort to help change the soch of many people.

Take for example: an example here on the forum, where this girl was told she had cancer and she was set to do an expensive biopsy and naturally, experienced a huge range of emotions. Then, she remembered Aamir's Medical Organisations waala episode...and she went to another doctor to get a second opinion. That doctor went, "what cancer?" That saved her the stress, the trauma, and the money.

Another example: in the foeticide episode, they showed a man who was going to abort his baby girl...but he read the works of an author speaking out against it...and he changed his view and didn't. His daughter was sitting next to him.

Another example: in the DV episode, we had this man stand up and say, he used to hit his wife but, he read books and learnt that this wasn't right, so now he lets his anger out in other ways

These are a few examples as to how people's soch has been changed...not all the above examples were due to SJ...but that's because I wanted to emphasise that ANY effort to influence is good...like, even if you write a simple poem and someone is influenced by it and doesn't kill his baby girl? It's a huge deal.

SJ is holding up a mirror to society. The first part to solve any problem is recognising that you HAVE a problem in the first place.
The soch of people needs to change, and SJ tries to do that.
It is up to us to keep the issues and ideas alive...and not bury them deep in tradition once the show is over.

*apologies if this doesn't make sense. I am procrastinating😆*
