It's Wednesday.. and the TRP ratings are out.. and our beloved show is stuck at a 2.8 rating..

I am surprised, that even with a week of awesome episodes, our show failed to make a mark in the Top 5 and is still at 2.8..❓

But there's a reason for this:

We comprise more of the online viewership, not TV viewership.. and it is not us who are at the wrong.. it's the TRP calculation which is wrong..!

This is the 21st Century (dammit!) and everyone's tech savvy.. so why on earth are they still stuck to TV ratings, TV this, TV that?! 😡

It's highly obnoxious! but what can we do? we can't force them..can we?

and not only that, even in India, only a few cities are included in the calculation.. this is even more obnoxious!

So meanwhile, going by what Barun has said - new twists coming up (hopefully!) - let us continue playing our parts as we have been doing from June 2011..:

- Viewers in India, please watch it on TV if possible..i know you do.. but i also know that Balika Vadhu clashes with our show, and I'm very sure the moms, dads, aunts, etc etc, watch it more than IPK.. 😒

- While the global viewers - we can't do much anyway.. coz our viewership is not counted (silly thing it is!) 😔

so we'll make sure that we keep on sending fan e-mails to Star Plus telling them "Hey! We exist! and we watch IPK..!!!" we can't do anything else apart from that..🤢

and let us ALL enlighten them on the importance of being tech savvy..waqt se saath badalna padta hai!

I try to watch it on Star Player, and I don't know why, but this Star Player thing doesn't even work 😡

I know we IPKKNDians can make everything possible if we just unite..😊

like we did, for Sanaya's and Barun's rankings.. and also for retaining Daljeet (going by some news yesterday, Daljeet has decided to give PH a chance for the sake of us fans.. why wouldn't she? poor Daljeet, we spammed her FB account with tons of msgs! 😆)

N even in dis 21st century ppl r stuck to dose conservative n orthodox serials n trps r counted only from tvs!! Wat the!!

Fantastic post...As an international viewer, I am going to spam Star plus until they realise what a humongous fan following Ipkknd has overseas...Thanks for The great advice 😉

One question -- does watching on StarPlayer contribute to the rating? I saw some other posts that said that they were not able to watch IPKKND in the last 3-4 weeks on StarPlayer!

I am so disappointed !! Can't believe it !

I am so sad the past few epis has done nothing to elevate our TRP's. I agree with you re the TV viewership and it is time that was taken in to account. I watch Star Plus from the US. I wonder if that counts ??

Its time these channels make sure their information correctly reflects the ground reality. It is so disheartning for everyone involved I am sure. Specially hard working actors like Sarun.

Ummm.. i do think watching it on Star Player counts.. coz i saw a post a few months back where someone was replied to by SP team telling them to watch it on the player for TRP purposes..
