SRK: Biting the ‘paan’

One of the first remakes to hit the screens will be Don - The Chase
Begins and there is some interesting news on that front. It is a
testing time for the lead actor, Shah Rukh Khan, as he will be
compared to Amitabh Bachchan not only for his acting abilities but
also for his singing. Yes, SRK is set to sing a few lines and some
interludes in the evergreen track 'Khaike Paan Banaras Walla'! Though
the entire track will be sung by Udit Narayan, there will definitely
be an SRK touch to the song. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have reworked the
original music of the track. This will be the second time that Shah
Rukh has taken to singing after 'Apun Bola' in Josh. While many have
started comparing the original and this new version, people who know
about the making of the film clarify that the new film is an
interpretation of the earlier one. "It's not a total remake. The
fundamental premise is similar but there are other thrilling twists
and turns in the film that will take the audience by surprise,"
reveals a source. Don is scheduled for release on October 20.

😆i know how u feel, i dont like remakes- i think it sort of shows like u dont think the original is good enough, i would hate it if someone remade a fav movie of mine, especially with an actor/actress i dont care for llike ddlj- i hope its never remade!! and i wouldnt want anyone else playing those roles. definitely not the reigning queen of bollywood rani or any actor out there right now. not even preity even though she is my 2nd fav after kajol

im happy that its not a complete "remake" and just an adaptation of the original DON.. i agree wildblossom, i would never wana see classic films of our days being remade years later .. films like ddlj .. i cant ever see anybody playing those roles half as well as srk and kajol did.. im not a fan of remaking classic films but im reallly lookin fwd to this DON, i hope it fares well at the box office, as im sure it will😳

DON original is just too good...
remakes show that directors are out of new ideas...that they are making remakes of classics...
Don is one of my fav filmz....and i just cant digest SRK starring its remake... 😳 😳

I totally agree, i would never want see any1 in the role Kajol either in DDLJ. I also agree regarding remakes, i would definetly not want to see a remake of DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota hai etc...

Anyways I dont think this don will be anywhere near the orignal one, and that two as Amitabh bachchan starred in it, that in self is sooo difficult to show that ure better than him. Im glad this don aint complete remake.
