Arnav will regret his action and in order to let khushi go he will try to show he still doesnt trust her and mistrusts her and that would break Khushi he will let her go letting her think that deep down that his self punishment. initially khushi may not realize that as she would be heart broken but would remember nanis words and will fight back.
He will hid behind his sister by making a choice of sister over her with this mistrust shown but circumstances would not let it be and he will struggle with the choice he made with the love he cant control and a sister to whom he is bound to as a promised with his own words of i will give up my khushi for u
