I just recently got ZEE TV So i decided to swtich into Punar Vivah, however pronblem: Whats going on??? can someone tell me the concept and storylines please? Thankss 😃

About the Show

It's said that Marriage is an institution that brings two hearts closer, but can marriage be that institution which brings two broken hearts together?.

Does Marriage only happen once and remain for lifetime? Does Remarriage equate to marriage...does a person feel the same excitement, same enthusiasm about his remarriage as he felt about his first marriage. Along with remarriage , the duties, responsibilities remain the same as marriage , even if you dont wish to yet you have to fulfil these duties. Expectations from such remarriage remain the same as the first marriage, does an individual feel the same enthusiasm to fufill these dreams and expectations as the first marriage ?

Thus Punar Vivaah is a story about two individuals who are heartbroken, two individuals who have shared their lives with some else earlier, who have shared those magical moments of first marriage with someone else yet due to circumstances now they are bonded into the holy institution of marriage for a second time and from there begins the journey they embark upon thereafter.

Basically, it's the story of Yash, a widower with 2 young daughters, and Aarti, a divorcee (widow by technicality😃) with a young son who agreed to remarriage to provide a mother/father for their children... At this point of the story, Aarti is trying to win one of the young girl's trust and love by organizing her birthday which unfortunately was the reason for the first wife's demise.. Tonight's episode, we'll get to see how Aarti is going to fulfill a promise she made to the birthday girl and if it will be acceptable to her and also to Yash as he is still grieving for the dead wife.. sorry, this is 'bout as much as i can provide..but you can watch past episode on dailymotion, i suppose..

Its is a second marriage for Aarti and Yash (AarYa)

Aartis first husband Prashant divorced her when she was expecting their son Ansh, he finds another modern girl and leaves Aarti for her. His parents break all relation with him and accept Aarti as their daughter (Aarti has one son Ansh)

Yash's wife Arpita died in a car accident on their daughter Palaks (they have 2 daughter Palak and Payal) 2nd birthday. Yash cannot forget Aarpita and still has her photos in his bedroom.

Yash is forced by his parents (Suraj Pratap and Gayatri ) and younger brother ( Pratik ) to remarry. So for their sake he agrees.
On the other hand Aarti's inlaws cum parents the Dubeys want her happiness and want to get her remarried. Aartis son also yearns for a father... So Aarti agrees for the sake of her son.

They meet the Scindhiyas and find that Yash is a real gentleman and well suited for Aarti. But Yash's parents make it clear that they want only a widow to marry their son and not a divorcee. The Dubeys tell them that Aarti is a widow (they hide the divorce truth from them, even Aarti is not told about this lie of theirs).

The marriage takes place between Yash - Aarti & Pratik (Yash's brother)- Paridhi. Yash and Aarti make it clear to each other that this marraige is in name only and just for the happiness of their children.

Aarti is too possessive about Ansh and sort of neglects her duties in this orthodox Scidhiya household. On top of that she is mistreated by her mother in law Gayatri and Yash's Bua (who is a widow and is bitter with her brother Suraj Pratap that he never thought about her remarriage, she therefore does not want to see Aarti happy ever).

Later Aarti tries her best to win over Yashes daughters but is not successful as they are scared by the Bua that their Step mother is not nice... plus they are still hung up on their dead mothers memories like their father Yash.

Later Ansh is kidnapped and Yash saves him risking his life! after this Aarti starts trusting him and resolves that she will do everything possible to be the best wife to Yash and mother to Palak and Payal (PayPal)...

But this is difficult with Yash, PayPal and Scindhiya family not wanting to give up Aarpita's memories... so she decides to dress up like Aarpita and make Yash and the girls accept her...

In the current track its Palaks birthday which she or the family never celebrates as Arpita dies on the same day. Aarti decides to celebrate it and to make Palak enthusiastic about it she promises her mother (Arpita) will attend the party!!!
At the party Aarti dresses up in Arpitas clothes... Yash's mind strays off on a tangent and hallucinates and mistakes Aarti for Arpita, dances with her but when he suddenly comes to his senses he scolds Aarti in front of the whole party. Tells her u can nver take Arptias place and I don't trust you any more. Palak is also angry with Aarti but Payal accepts Aarti as mother!...Aarti tries to convince Yash that she only did it for Palak's happiness. But yash's family supports Aarti.

Later Yash wants to keep Arpita's shraad but is father says no u are remarried now...Yash goes to temple to do shrad there Aarti helps him with the same...
