CHAPTER 3

"LAVANYA"

"Lavanya, who is she n why is she here bhai???"

A pretty girl in her early 20's came in. She was wearing a yellow saree.

"Anji meet Lavanya, your future bhabhi"

The 4 people present in the room were shocked.

Khushi was shocked at the sentence. She had never expected Arnav to be in love with someone else. Garima looked at Khushi. Tears came out o her eyes but Arnav and Anjali was too busy to notice that.

"Bhai are you serious. You are planning to get married and you chose a girl for you???"

"Yeah"

"Are you serious?"

"Of course Anji, do you like her???"

Anjali noticed Lavanya. She was quiet and shy. No wonder Arnav had chosen her. He liked quiet people except her and Khushi. She was gorgeous. Something in Lavanya told her that Lavanya was perect for Arnav.

"yeah bhai she is perfect for you"

Anjali hugged Lavanya and then Arnav.

"Bhai I'm so happy for you. This was the perfect birthday gift for me. Hey Khushi why are you standing there come here"

"Yeah"

"Khushi tell me did you like Lavanya???" Arnav asked

"Are you crying??" Arnav and Anjali asked as they saw Khushi

"No Arnav, they are tears of joy. I'm very happy for you"

"Ok Lavanya approved!!!" Arnav said

"what bhai???"

"I had told her before itself that I will marry her only i Anji n Khushi approves her. Now I'll marry her"

"I'll be back in a minute" Khushi said as she walked out of RM.

She went to her room and cried on the bed. Garima had followed her.

"Khushi dear listen to me"

"No Ma, I loved him very much and he, he loves someone else!!!"

"Khushi.."

"I've been in love with him since the age of 12.. and he"

She was crying like hell.

"Khushi ... koi baat nahi beta"

"Maa, mera pehla pyaar adhoora rah gaya"(Sorry guys i love KUCH KUCH HOTA HEIN)

"Khushi listen to me, he was not destined to be yours. May be god has something else in mind for you Khushi"

"But maa.."

"Khushi control yourself dear. He never thought of you in that sense. He likes you a lot. See he wanted your approval also to say yes to her right. Khushi he cares about you dear. So be a part of his Khushi ,khushi"

"But ma ... ok I'll try!!"

She went to the washroom. Freshened up and went to back to RM to be a part of their joy.

"Khushi where did you disappear to?" Anjali asked.

"Nothing yaar now let me go. I want to talk to Lavanya"

She went towards Lavanya.

"I'm Khushi as you might do. Anji may call you bhabhi but I'll call you Lavanya itself because i call him Arnav and so I cant respect you without respecting him. So tell me where did you meet. You can talk right I haven't heard you talk!!!"

"I can. Whe I spoke you were not here. BTW I work for AR and that is where I met him."

"oh"

"And Arnav what did you think, you can avoid a treat by presenting her as her birthday present? No way dear. You owe us a treat isn't it Anji"

"Khushi is right bhai. Tomorrow we need a day out with you both. Me, Khushi ,you and bhabhi. OK???"

"OK Anji done.Be ready by 9am. We'll pick Lavanya from her hostel and then go for shopping and a movie!!!"

"Okie Arnav I'll be ready. Now I need to go. I'm really tired. Good night"

Khushi said bye to everyone. Soon the Guptas left.

Khushi went to her room and cried her heart out. Garima came behind.

"Khushi you were very brave. I know it is tough but you have to keep this going."

"But ma its really tough to see him with someone else"

"I can understand Khushi but think about his happiness. You love him, so his happiness should be your first priority"

"Yeah ma. I'll try!!!"

"Good night beta"

"Good night"

Khushi could not sleep that night. The previous night they had enjoyed very much with him, with Arnav. But today she was completely heart broken. But she had to control her emotions atleast for him, for her parents and last but not the least for herself.

The next morning Khushi was back to normal again. She tried her level best to keep him away from her mind. But she couldn't as he was in front of her all time and today they would be spending the whole day together.

Anji and Arnav were waiting for her.

"Khushi why are you late dear"

"I thought Arnav has found a girl for him, we too need to find suitable partners isn't it?"

"Yeah you are right Khushi I never thought about it."

"But I gave it a thought, I should look pretty for that isn't it???"

"Oh hello I would be the one selecting guys for you both!!!" Arnav said. He seemed serious.

"You wouldn't have had to bother, I had someone in mind. But now thats not applicable!!!" Khushi said and then regretted.

"Khushi you had someone , who???" Arnav asked

"And you never told me.. who is it???" Anjali asked

"Who told I never told you Anji, I'm talking about Virat Kohli ( sorry I Love him a lot!!!) I heard somewhere that he is not single anymore!!!"

"oh .. I thought... but are you sure about VK???"

"not sure.. I really hope that the news is false"

"Me 2"

"Ok now stop it you two crazy Virat fans. Lets go. Lavanya must be waiting"

Lavanya was an orphan who lost her parents when she was 10. She was a bit traditional and sweet. Eventhough Khushi envied her, she liked her character. She was sweet to them. The shopping was sort of an engagement shopping. They bought salwar suits and sarees for the three girls, matching jewellery and many other items. They had lunch in a nearby restaurant and then went for the movie. Khushi and Anjali loved SRK. So the other two didn't even have a choice. They gave in.

They enjoyed the movie had dinner and then dropped Lavanya in her hostel and returned home.

The next day was Khushi's birthday. Anjali was just 2 days older than Khushi. Khushi had completely forgotten that since she was lost because Arnav was getting married soon. She cried again, lying on her bed clutching the photo ,she and Arnav , the one Anji had clicked, only the two of them. And she dozed off.
