Fixing the Gen-set: Dissection & Analysis
Let's take a trip down the memory lane for a while.
Arnav was confused about how a wedding happened in GH all of a sudden. He went about asking Khushi, but got no response from her that would help clear his understanding.
Then, Bua Ji caught him at the door and, in passing, told him of the acceptance that he'd given for the wedding guests to stay at GH. However, Arnav was clueless. However, when Bua Ji clarified that he'd given the permission and so the guests could stay, Arnav could suddenly join the dots and remember how Khushi had manipulated the situation and got Arnav and the family to think what she wanted them to think.
Correlation: Arnav has been clueless and confused about Khushi and what she has been up to. This is true even today. He has no clue what Khushi has been doing. It may be only incidental that he discovers what Khushi was really doing.
He remembered Khushi's mischief and instantly forgave her. Not only that, he looked around for her intending to talk to her about what she did - though not in anger. However, he didn't get around to talk to her. When he found her, she was still operating from the previous day's events where Arnav had hurt her, and refused to apologize.
Correlation: Arnav may attempt to talk to Khushi, however, she may still be living in the past where she got hurt because of Arnav's attitude.
He walked to her and saw her trying to fix a generator all by herself to help the wedding party. When he saw her trying to fix and getting unsuccessful, he decided to help her. He told her she could not do all things alone, and Khushi got angry that he thought so and challenged him.
Correlation: Though Arnav has no clue, but it seems is that she is trying to help. As Arnav always points out - she cannot do all things on her own - this time she again seems to be trying something rather dangerous - quite out of her league and beyond her capability - on her own.
Arnav then took the tools and fixed the generator.
Correlation: The Anjali-Shyam problem is not something Khushi can fix on her own, neither is that fact that she got tainted in the process. She has been handling this situation on her own for a long time and has been unsuccessful. Perhaps, Arnav would need to pick up some tools and get his hands dirty. Though when he does come back, it'll be with a bang, perhaps!
During this, Khushi stained her hands with grease, and then her face. She didn't see this. After Arnav fixed the generator, he walked to Khushi, and saw the stain on her face. He cleaned it.
Correlation: After, Arnav fixes the problems that Khushi had been trying to solve, then he'd clear up the mess Khushi has found herself in and wipe away all stains.
A stain on the face that Khushi put on herself in trying to fix the situation – a stain that only Arnav can remove. If and when he sees it..!!
Correlation: The accusation that has tainted Khushi is something that only Arnav can clear. She has been tainted a cheat, a gold-digger, a house-breaker, and now a conspirator to destroy Arnav. This is something only can redeem her from.
It was a stain that only Arnav saw – none of GH-ians or RM-waasis.
Correlation: No one in RM or GH has known yet about the accusation Arnav has blamed her with. Perhaps, in future too, none of the family would immediately find out about this.
Arnav saw it and cleaned it.
The Anjali Factor
Arnav has lived for Anjali most of his life. And Anjali has been one of the core reasons for bringing Khushi into Arnav's life - right from the beginning.
When Arnav and Khushi first met, Arnav could have handled the situation completely differently. However, his lack of trust in people led him to deal with Khushi in a harsh manner, such that he alienated Khushi. If he never met her again, she would forever remember him as a horrible memory.
When he met her next, he was on an errand for Anjali - to lock a mannat (vow) for her. Anjali brought Khushi into Arnav's life once again.
When Arnav met Khushi again, he insulted her again and was harsh on her. So much so that Khushi again left him (the job in his company).
Once again, for the training of Lavanya, Anjali brought Khushi back into Arnav's life.
When Arnav found Khushi in his house, he yet again insulted her.
Anjali left home, feeling hurt, and Arnav had to go bring Khushi back.
Following Diwali, Arnav promised Khushi he'd never meet her again.
Yet, again, Anjali called Khushi home on a pretext and asked her to keep coming to RM.
Even after their wedding, Arnav alienated Khushi several times.
And every time, in some way or the other, Anjali has brought Khushi closer to Arnav.
Arnav mentioned time and again that he is bearing her just for Anjali's sake. Even Khushi knows this.
The events are at a crucial stage right now. Even though the focus is clearly on Arnav, Khushi and their relationship and what Shyam is doing to, directly or indirectly, destroy it - the focus might soon shift to Anjali.
Arnav tried hard to reach out the man in sitting in the dark. Though he hit him, but his hands could not reach out or pull that man out. But this situation would not always be so. One day, the man in the dark will step out or be pulled out.
The closer Shyam gets to revelation, the closer Anjali comes to harm.
How Anjali reacts to the reality of Shyam and consequently to Arnav-Khushi relationship may impact to a great extent on how Arnav deals with Khushi and of course, their relationship. It may impact the stand Arnav takes with Khushi in their relationship. Khushi might understand Arnav's stand - if it is not with her - but that would not lessen either one's pain.
If Anjali comes to harm because of Shyam's revelation or if Shyam himself harms Anjali (as he has attempted to in the past) - and if Arnav has not matured in trust for Khushi till then - it may be extremely hard for Arnav. He would not know which way to turn. If he was lonely on the night he found about Shyam, then, he'd be lonelier.
Will Anjali again bring Khushi back to Arnav? Will she again be the reason - one way or another - that Khushi has to be with Arnav?
The End of the Road
Arnav has surrendered in love. There is a bit of trust forming in his heart for Khushi. He called her up first, and he knew she'd be restless to hear from him. Before she can begin to talk about his misery, he wants to talk about her hurt. His own capture and the captor's identity do not bother him as much as the fact that he hurt Khushi.
The path that the events are taking, sure look sorry for Arnav as of now. If Khushi walking with Shyam for the known reason of getting revenge on Arnav comes out in a suspicious light with supporting documents and witnesses, Arnav is in for some serious damage. His heart might break once more before it has been healed.
Arnav might end up worse than he was at the beginning of six month. His love was hidden and unexpressed. Now, he has given himself in it, trusting that Khushi loves him.
Khushi too might end up lonelier and more hurt than she was at the beginning of six months. She surrendered herself when he faced and accepted her feelings. She gave herself in completely - to the point of obsession - to find Arnav and bring him to safety.
If in the light of proofs that Shyam is gathering, Arnav is unable to trust Khushi's intentions and her love for him, then it is going to be rather hard for Khushi.
Arnav has seen in Khushi a response to his love. He's seen how desperate she was when he told her what he thought of her. He's seen how much she put at stake for him. Then, to know that she did all that to destroy him personally and to see proofs, Arnav may find himself back on the road where he was alone.
Khushi has seen an expression of Arnav's love for her. He's told her and shown her that he loves her. Now, if she is doubted again, Khushi may again find herself as lost as she was the night when she lost all.
The Road Back
I doubt Arnav will trust Shyam as against Khushi – but I also don't think he'll trust Khushi straightaway.
They drifted from the road to their love long back. Their attempts to return to their own path have been disrupted by many factors. Despite everything, Arnav crossed his own Arnav-rekha and stepped on Khushi's side.
The interesting thing is that this change in Arnav did not come because:
- He suspected his version of truth
- He trusted Khushi
- Someone pushed him to be good to Khushi
- Someone else found out about his deal with Khushi and pushed him to fix his marriage
- There was some emotional or mental pressure to accept Khushi
The change came simply because he realized that he loved her anyway. He'd seen her in the worst possible scene and yet he loved her. He'd seen her be silly, stubborn, angry, irritated, rebellious, lying, manipulating, and even nasty - all the same, he loved her. He brought her much pain and agony and he bore the same.
A time came when he just could not bear her pain any more. He just could not see her in agony. Her pain would shake him. He'd tremble within and be uneasy when she was hurt. If he knew she was hurting and desperate, he could not leave her and go. If he knew she was in danger, he'd leave everything and run to her aid.
Very simply – her pain became unbearable for him. He just had to comfort her; he had to be by her side; he had to support her; he had to make sure she was okay and safe; he had to know she was content; he had to tell her and show her that he was sorry for what he did; he had to tell her he loved her.
The road back for him was quite simply his love - which has brought him to put some trust in Khushi loving him. It was in love that he surrendered his heart to the one person who hurt him possible the most.
If he is hurt again, will his love lead him back to the girl he loves? Will he trust her his heart, his love, and his woman?
What is Khushi's journey back going to be like?
When she found what Arnav thought about her, the initial reaction was brokenness and anger. However, soon she realized that she could not live knowing that Arnav thought she cheated him. Her anger disappeared when the realization set in. The forgiveness came in without even Arnav asking for it.
She's forgiven him once, and put in all her efforts to prove herself innocent of his accusations. To top it, ever since she found that he was in danger, she's been focused only towards bringing him back to safety, even if it means she'd endanger her own life.
To put it simply - it was her love for Arnav that brought her back to him. She could not bear to see him as hurt as he was because he thought she cheated him. She knows now what has hurt him and she could not bear to see him in pain. She wanted to clear his misunderstanding because she knew how difficult it was for him – especially when she learnt that it was his mother's death anniversary and he was already distancing himself – she rushed to clear her side so that he'd be in less pain.
The road back for her was simply her love – which brought her to see how she loved him.
Possibly, it may be love that might that would enable the return a second time. It may be hard as she is walking a difficult path. She is getting entangled in a web out of which she may not be able to come out on her own.
Arnav's challenge: To use mind with heart, not against heart.
Khushi's challenge: To walk in filth and remain spotless.
Who is trapping who?
Khushi thinks she is trapping Shyam. She is in a desperate situation and is taking desperate measures. She knows how dangerous it might be, but she is letting herself be in danger if it means saving Arnav.
Shyam suspected Khushi's speech and has set tests to check if she is being truthful. He knows her too well and Khushi planning evil is something not easily digestible for him. However, as part of tests, he is also gathering proofs that would prove Khushi's motives to be vengeful if things got out of hand for him.
Arnav, who has no clue of the going-ons in his absence - knows someone wants something to do with him. It's not merely his money or captivity. The circumstances he finds out about his captor would be interesting to see. After all, it was for nothing that he could not see his captor when they were face to face, except the man was in dark.
