I am looking for some information about the third song listed on this page --

https://www.calcuttaweb.com/gaan/lata.shtml

I know for sure that Salil-da used this tune for some Hindi film song. I am stretching my mind but I cannot recollect. Can anyone tell me which Hindi film song is based on this Bengali song? And also what are the exact wording of the mukhada .... aaj ???? tokothay baki kothay pare habe???? did I get that right?

the mukhda wordings are as follows:

aaj tobe eituku thaak
baaki kotha pore hobe
dhushor dhulir poth
bhenge pore ache roth
bohudur dur jete hobe

as in that's enough for today
the rest conv can wait till later
the road is a dusty one
the chariot lies broken
yet one has to travel far far away....

there is an exact beng version of 'Tasveer tere dil mein' from ' Maya' which is something like'ogo aar kichu toh noi' 😊

Thanks Nonny.

This site has the bengali originals of 3 of my most favorites Salil-da's songs--- Jago Mohan Pyare (Jago Mohan Pritam) Jare Jare Ud Jare Panchhi (jare jare ud jare pakhi) and O Sajana Barakha (Na jeona rajani..). It was very nice to listen the original compostions. And I remember Hemant da's o nodi re... the tune of which which he later used in Bis Saal Baad ... O berakar dil ho chuka hai mujhako ansoo onse pyar..

Hemant da also used the tune of one of his famous song "amae proshno kore neel dhrubo tara" in a hindi film. The hindi song starts with "kahi....". Sorry, I am not very good in hindi.

Bonie,

Do you know which film this song (kahi...) is from? And any links to Hemant da's original bengali song?

Salil Chaudhary used Hemant da's tune????? Did I get that right? Or was the tune of "amae proshno kore neel dhrubo tara" Salilda's. I am confused.

Hindi Song Title: Ye Nayan Dare Dare
Hindi Movie/Album Name: KOHRA
Singer(s): HEMANT KUMAR

Hindi Lyrics:
Ye Nayan Dare Dare, Ye Jaam Bhare Bhare
Zara Peene Do
Kal Ki Kisko Khabar, Ik Raat Hoke Nidar
Mujhe Jeene Do
Ye Nayan Dare Dare...

Raat Haseen Ye Chand Haseen
Tu Sabse Haseen Mere Dilbar
Aur Tujhse Haseen, Aur Tujhse Haseen Tera Pyaar
Tu Jaane Na
Ye Nayan Dare Dare...

Pyaar Mein Hai Jeevan Ki Khushi
Deti Hai Khushi Kai Gam Bhi
Maein Maan Bhi Loon, Maein Maan Bhi Loon Kabhi Haar
Tu Maane Na
Ye Nayan Dare Dare...
