TVS Vs Adi for Sugni

But why did TVS appeal to us over Adi - who is definitely played by quite a handsome guy while Varun Badola looks older- and as I have said several times, is in desperate need to shed some pounds - and at such an instant. I hope I can help explain this to you...

Typically male leads in desi dramas are NOT strong characters. Often they are impulsive, possessive and emotionally intense. They cry incessantly and if "hate" the female lead. The male lead is often the "pretty boy" who looks good with the female BUT it is his father or another maturer male character who gets the best lines, comes across as strong, confident, rather aggressive.. This person is often never paired with the female lead - two strong leads have never been something CVs have tried. They also rely a lot on a love-hate relationship where the two leads hate each other and then fall in love. Here the two leads clicked - no hate, just purposeful scenes that allowed the romance to develop naturally and in its own time.

The fact is that whoever took a gamble with the show has give us something that REALLY works. I want to see the Sugni and TVS romance progress. Even if TVS gets a bit on the negative side with shades of grey, I STILL want him to be with Sugni. The Amrita and Adi relationship can ALSO work - these two have GREAT chemistry together. Give Amrita more of a storyline, more things to do etc.

This is a great show - I mean it even has a female lead who has a best friend with whom she talks about her feelings about another guy. Sure the show has some flaws etc, but overall, I am very impressed with the team who have developed this show - some really well rounded characters and MORE than just a "romance"
