Part 25

Many days passed away but Veer and Chandni didn't see each other...Veer was somehow sure that he would get Chandni no matter what happens,

on the other side Chandni was confident that she would never fall for Veer...It was not only difficult but almost impossible for her to forget about what all happened with her...

One evening...

Misha saw Veer standing outside the house...he didn't talk to anyone, "Veer..." he didn't turn to even look at her "its been so many days that you haven't spoken to anybody...please Veer at least listen to what I am saying..."

Veer looked at her... "what??"

"please Veer...don't say no...not today atleast..." she pleaded...

Manohar heard Misha "Veer...she's right...its her birthday today...she wants to take you out"

Veer looked at Misha '. "i am sorry Misha...but I..."

"please Veer...ok I promise it won't be for long...ok we will go to a cafeteria just for coffee..."

Manohar watched him "Veer...it won't take much time..."

Veer smiled a little "alright...you also come with us"

Misha was happy... "yes lets go"

Kaka saw him from the window...he knew Veer can never forget Chandni...but it was good for him to go out for a change...

It was late night...

Chandni finished her dinner and went to sleep...somehow she couldn't sleep and only thought about Veer... "he's bad...i shouldn't think about him..."

she rolled on the bed from one side to another...the moment she closed her eyes she thought about him...she remembered how he forcefully kissed her...it was difficult for her believe that he has changed and suddenly wants to marry her because he slept with her...

it was the most horrible incidents in her life...she touched her lips that were one with Veer's lips...she remembered how he embraced her in his arms...she tightly shut her eyes in despair...she touched her forehead...she was sweating...

"you remind me of Chandni..." Veer gazed at the bottle of whiskey... "the difference is I have you, but I want her" he opened his bottle and poured the whiskey in the glass... he smiled and gulped four, five glasses...

Though Chandni knew he wasn't good...still she thought about him... she got up from the bed and looked outside the window...

why is she thinking about the man who spoiled her life...it was her fault as well, how could she even like him, when he doesn't deserve any love and kindness...

"i hate you" she walked towards the mirror and saw the mark on her chest that has completely faded...it wasn't there anymore "this mark can go Veer, but the mark you have left on my heart can never fade away"

"Veer..." he dropped the glass... "Veer" he heard again...

"i hope my ears are alright...how is this possible...is that you my damsel...???"

he got up from his couch and looked outside... there wasn't anyone... "bloody hell" '.. he opened another bottle when he heard again... "Veer..."

this time he heard the sound more clearer... he opened the window and glanced around...with blurry vision he tried to look around... "please come to me Veer" '.

this time he was sure that someone was calling him...he decided to go outside... as he opened the door...he saw her standing just in front of him... "Chandni"

he saw her long black hair...her fair glowing skin..., a long white dress... "what the hell is this...why do you come at this time of night??"

he turned around to get in '. "fine come in" but she wasn't there...

Chandni heard her phone ringing... she couldn't believe it was him...how could he even think of calling her...

why can't he let her stay in peace...he was like a storm who entered her life and now he's not willing to leave her...

she was scared but then she had to face him...how can she let him do what he wants all the time...she had to be bold to face this danger...

she picked up the phone "how dare you call me this time Veer???"

Veer gulped another glass "well well...you are asking me this????...what about you my sweetheart, you can come anytime at night...and if I call you, you act so innocent..."

Chandni was furious "you keep on drinking...i '.i just hate you...now don't call me"

"wait...wait...before your soft fingers cancel my call... I am warning you, if I see you again at night, I won't leave you" he looked at the phone...

"go to hell" she disconnected the phone...

Next Day...

"but I told Mr Guncha that I have left the project and I am not concerned anymore..." Chandni replied irritatingly...

Meenakshi tried to calm her "listen Chandni...its not professionalism... I understand you may have your reasons not to work in this project but if your manager needs help you must support him...i think you must let new person know everything about site...it won't take long...

"but mom...i..."

"Chandni...i want you to understand the principals of running a good business but first be a good employee..." Meenakshi retorted...

Chandni unwillingly agreed and went to Kurseong...

Kaka happily met the new person... "thanks Mr Guncha"

Mr Guncha handed the files to Meghna... She had been working with Mr Guncha for few months and Mr Guncha trusted her... "Chandni would be here any moment...so she can make you understand the whole project..."

Meghna was happy to handle a huge project...this was her first opportunity to do something by herself.

Chandni reached outside the house...she glanced around... the moment she looked at the house she remembered everything, something scared her as if was following her, but she had to move on... ...it seemed her life has stopped at his destination... she took a long breath.

she stepped out of the car...she looked beautiful, her features looked more attractive...She somehow looked complete...but her heart and mind were denying everything...her heart skipped a beat...she was nervous...but she acted confidently...

"so this is the entire report...and this Is the area...we have started planting in this section." she turned the sheet and looked at Meghna who was short and fat...but she was indeed hard working...

Chandni didn't felt bad as she had left this project, instead she was thinking about Veer...every second, every minute she glanced at the door...

After few hours they went to the site...Chandni explained Meghna everything about the project...

It was late evening...

Meghna and Mr Guncha had left...

Chandni glanced around but she couldn't see him anywhere...he may not have come back yet...but she thought herself stupid enough to be looking for him...

"no I think I must leave now" she replied politely...

"Chandni...i know there could be some reason but I would be happy if you stay for dinner tonight" Kaka requested Chandni...

though she didn't wanted to but then Veer wasn't in the house so it was not a problem... she thought he must have gone out to drink somewhere or he may be with some girl enjoying his life... she cursed every moment when she was with him...

After some time...

"i must leave Kaka...thanks for the dinner...bye Pratima" Chandni was happy to spend some time with Kaka...

After some time...

she tried again...but the car didn't start... Darjeeling was far and there wasn't any car coming or she could ask for help, she looked at her phone that she had forgot to charge...she was in the middle of road...surrounded by big bushes... she thought for a while and stepped out of the car...

She started walking on the main road...it was only a few minutes when she saw a car headlight flashing on her face...

she stopped...she couldn't see clearly, soon she saw Veer stepping out of the car... he came closer '..she stared at him...

"are you real???? or my imagination..." he looked drunk...she didn't say anything...

"i told you sweetheart that if I see you next time...i won't leave you..." Veer was about to touch her when she stepped back... "stop" Chandni shouted...

he didn't stop and stepped forward...

"what do you think of yourself..???" angrily she stared at him...

he took out the bottle, gulped it and threw it on the road...she looked at him, his eyes were fixed on her... he gazed her from top to bottom...

she quickly clutched her jacket by her body... she thought her boots won't let her run so fast...she was still thinking...

another instant he pulled her closer by grasping her arms... "leave me Veer" '.. but he didn't listen to her... and tried to embrace her in his arms... "stop it" she tried to fidget in his arms...

he gazed at her, he was least bothered about her harsh words this time... his hands travelled from her arms to her tiny waist...she tried to push him with her hands but he didn't move...instead he curled his arms tightly around her... she winced as his grip around her waist was hurting...

She didn't look at him but his eyes constantly looked at her attractive features... slowly his one hand touched her pink cheeks...his thumb stroked her red lips...

"if I knew you would come here...i wouldn't have come drunk" he smiled a little '.

she growled at him "you ruffian...let me go...i...i will kill you"

"you have already killed me..." he took her towards the bushes on the side of the road... she was scared this time...

she was sweating...she was confused by the way he pulled her...she could see lust in his eyes...God forbid if he did anything with her this time...either she will kill herself or she will kill him...

"what are you doing...???" she asked timidly... he didn't say anything... his tight grip was hurting her... he was holding her so close that she felt his heart beat against her chest...

he moved his hand from her waist towards her beautiful hair, his fingers entwined in her silk locks...slowly he pulled her hair and made her look into his eyes...

with moist eyes she looked at him... "please Veer...don't do this"
