Anjali Menon is still basking in the success of her critically acclaimed film Manjadikuru. The latest buzz is that, Tamil director Cheran is apparently keen to remake the film in Tamil.
Confirming the same, Anjali informs us, "Yes, we are in talks for a Tamil remake. Discussions have been on some time, but we are yet to finalise on the details. Cheran loved the film and believes that it will do well in Tamil too."
Anjali says she is more than happy to see her film being remade in other languages. So, will we see her donning the director's cap in K-Town as well? "We are still working out the details, but I am keen to see how it unfolds in Tamil," she says. "I like the creative freedom one gets when you handle a project. In terms of direction, I would like to work on someone else's script. However, I have not had the chance to interact with more writers," adds Anjali.
Manjadikuru revolves round the story of a young boy and his encounter with his extended family that has gathered for the funeral of his grandfather.
