Who's to be blamed for the entire fiasco?
I don't want to blame anybody. I was willing to do both the shows and I tried to reason it out with the parties involved. In fact, in the initial stages everyone agreed and I even sent out the dates I require for the Jhalak... shoots, which was accepted. I don't know why there was a change of heart.
Weren't you contractually bound?
This is a regular practice where fiction stars perform in non-fiction shows, award ceremonies and events. My contract was to be with the show exclusively for 25 days and I was free to do whatever I wanted in the balance five to six days. I chose to pursue my passion for dancing and I have always dreamt of being a part of Jhalak...
The channel says they threw you out of the show for your unprofessional behaviour, but you are claiming that you sent them your resignation first?
After the production house harassed me I was left with no choice but to tell them that I was quitting their show. And all this, after I assured them of my complete cooperation for Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. I feel sad because I gave my sweat and blood to the show for three years and this is the way they treat me simply because I ask for my basic fundamental right!
You felt harassed?
Yes, to the extent that I had to consult a psychiatrist. I had a nervous breakdown because of the torture and was almost on the verge of depression. I got threats from goons who called me from private numbers, saying that they would break my legs if I performed in Jhalak..., they will break my legs.
i wont be too surprise if star plus have gone down to this level they are tarnishing her reputation so she is fighting back go gia we are behind you
