friends sorry for my ignorance...but i couldn't understand why parvati prayed mahadev to protect her from asurs...because we saw she is aware of her identity unlike sati...from her birth..that's why she killed that apsara bahurupa without anyone's help and protected herself...so she is capable to protect herself from that asuras..so why did she pray to mahadev to protect her??please help me friends..sorry if i hurt anyone's feeling

When hanuman went to lanka he offered to take seeta wd him.she refused saying even she can destroy ravan in a sec but then how will the world know ram's might. Its the same thing here. Parvati is announcing tn tarka that shiv parvati will soon be united and his end is near

I don't think Parvati is "aware" that she is Adi Shakti. As a baby, she just held on to that rakshasi's hair and saved her (she has powers despite being unaware of them maybe?!) Otherwise, why would she lisp "Mere pati kaun banenge?" to Rishi Dadhichi?

okay this is just my assumption...may be influenced from the religion i belong to
when we are infants the divinity remains with us...or baby Parvaty could call on to the power without being really conscious about it...
once we grow older, worldliness begins to interfere and we move further and further away from the essence of god which resides in us...if u think like that then Parvathi was lost the consciousness of her powers and asks help from mahadev...

the reason why mata parvati calls shiv ji for help coz she is a devotee and wants to see her God who is shiv ji whom she has never seen since her new incanation and shiv ji is the one who helps the entire world in need so she asks him for help,

Perhaps shivji is in deep meditation ,only her calls can disturb him ,He cant ignore her just like that ...

Because according to our show ,shivji is said to be renounced every thing ,only her call makes him to remember his duties

parvati prayed to shivji coz shiv is her God... she wanted the worl to know his glory, his powers despite the fact that shiv is in isolation.

she was married to him only coz she prayed to him a lot and was a devotee.

whenever any1 asked her abt marriage or what she wants she would always say SHIV...

she knows that she is adi shakti but cant ignore shiv and his love...

As Sati, Anasuya had told her the only way to get Shivji is through Bhakti. That's why as Parvati she is shown to reach Shivji through her bhakti, that's why all the repeated incidents of her doing tough tasks by praying to him. She will do penance to get him as her husband. Shivji had said earlier, boon as a result of one's penance is granted for sure. So Parvati will get the boon to marry her through her bhakti, penanace.
