Sorry for the long wait here is part 9 and i'll be updating more frequently from now on. Thank you for your likes and comments they mean alot 😊

Part 9

They had been walking for hours, Kushi couldn't feel her feet anymore. She wanted to scream and shout but she knew that he'd just blame her for it. She looked over at him.

"Bade hero samajte hai apne apko" She said still not daring to step closer to him. All this time she had kept a safe distance of 3 meters between them, she was scared he'd suck the blood out of her if she dared to say anything to him. She had seen his anger once today and that was once too many. So without any other options she didn't know what else to do than shut up, which had worked until she said those words out loud, thinking out loud for the millionth time.

"What did you say?"

"I didn't say anything..Khadoos" she added thinking it had passed his radar

"What now?!"

"Nothing"

"Forget that you made me come out of the car, forget that you led me on the wrong way. Now you dare open your mouth..you..you CREATURE" Arnav said giving up, not knowing what else to call her. Not having the energy to talk after walking the whole afternoon.

After walking a little more Kushi sat down giving up hope. This was not what she bargained for. She didn't run away to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with an angry young man she didn't even know.

Without realizing it Kushi started to cry. First there were only soft sobs, then her cries started getting louder forcing Arnav to turn back.

Arnav only turned back to find the source of the annoying noise that was disturbing him. Upon turning back he saw the creature sitting flat on the road with her arms and legs crossed, looking utterly ridicules. The fact that she was crying wasn't doing her any good. Even though he was happy she for once had shut up, the fact that she was crying was disturbing him for reasons unknown, even to himself. So despite himself he went and sat beside her.

"What happened, why are you crying?"

"Look I don't need you pitying me, I have a lot of other problems!"

Saying that she walked away into the woods leaving Arnav shocked with her sudden outburst. He wasn't sure if he should let her go or go after her. After watching her walk further and further into the woods so he followed her.

"Crea..I mean KUSHI!! KUSHI!!"

"WHAT?!" she replied getting pissed at his sudden concern.

"Kushi listen to me, I'm sorry I was rude. Can you please stop running away from me?"

"Why should I?" She said. Trying to sound strong but the hunger and walking was taking its tall on her.

"Kushi talk to me."

"Fine" She said dropping the walls and told him everything. She told him that she's supposed to get married and she just wanted to escape for a few days so that she could have memories to cherish.

"Well then I think we should make the best out of it." Arnav said with a wide grin.

"Just wait here and I'll be back within minutes" he said.

By now they had found themselves a cozy spot under a big tree to shelter them from the wind. While Arnav was away Kushi decided to make the place a little nicer and build a fire. They wouldn't be able to walk further since it was already dark.

Arnav came back after a few minutes as promised with some mangos and wild fruits in his hands. He had been hunting for some food and was surprised that she was able to build a fire so fast and that too without matches.

"Hey good going creatures, good to see you are able to do something"

"HAHA I'm happy that I'm able to entertain you."

"How did you manage?"

"My parents liked to go hiking and my dad thought me."

"OH.. so they don't like hiking anymore or is your lazy behind unable to keep up with them." He said laughing happy with the jock he had cracked.

"My parents are dead." Kushi said with a small voice feeling her loss all over again.

"Oh I'm sorry..I know how you feel. I've lost my mother too." Arnav said.

This became the icebreaker and they were now able to stand each other and the evening passed quickly and turned to night with the stars shining bright promising happy times.
