Ahem could have not asked for a more worthy wife ... she comes in the form of Gopi.
Ahem looked on at her with honour, reverence and held her in high esteem and regard. He truly felt blessed.
What has she done to deserve this attention from Ahem? She has been working her Gopi-ism on him, knowingly and unknowingly, from the time they had set eyes on each other. Today, her ability to simplify Anita's complex problem and at the same time openly accept Ahem as her husband, brought on a heartfelt smile on Ahem's face. Her selfless nature of respectfully parting from Anita and her belief in keeping his first present so lovingly away are just some of her latest deeds.
It was symbolic for Gopi to gift her kanaji to Anita. Gopi's love for her kanaji transcends any other kind of love, including her love for Ahem. However her giving it away reflected the completion of her real kanaji (Ahem). Ahem continued to look on at Gopi through the rest of Anita's departure knowing he has become first for Gopi from here on.
Ahem so wanted to see her lovingly taking care of his gifts to her, after he had watched her fold away the lehenga Tejas had given her. Thereafter he bought saris for all the women in the household just to give her a present and went on to help her fold the sari, but the reaction he wanted was not there like he had seen today.
His love for his wife swelled tenfold more. He stood there gazing at her with adoration and deep love. So intense was his look which shown a growing desire to want to embrace and show her his love. The lyrics foretold of his realisation that he is her kanaji and saathiya from here on.
