I was really amazed, my five year old cousin can barely ride a tricycle, talk about riding a car, and that too a stick shift. Forget, my cousin, I am 16 and I think it will even be hard for me to drive in so much traffic.

It is indeed amazing that a 5 yr could actually take his bro to the hospital on time. But just think rationally what he did was terrible wrong & that too they showed it on TV to encourage other little kids to do copycat stuff.

Moreover, when we saw on ZeeTV, it seemed all re-choreographed - obviously the cameras were not there during the actual act. After everything was over, they staged the whole thing the kids playing, the girls putting the injured child in the Maruti van, and then the 5year old driving alone - winding through traffic and pedestrians.

All this - staged by the TV crew - endangering the kid, the people in traffic and pedestrians, just for a news clip. This is unacceptably wrong. Even car ads show a warning that it is staged. Here this was promoted as if it was the right thing to do.

But was it - instead kids should taught, and encouraged to reach other adults to do the rest of the job. I cannot believe, that in a populated country like India, they couldn't have done such a thing.

This should have been projected as a lucky escape for all - not a a brave act to be modeled and repeated. The TV crew set a bad example for impressionable minds, and will lead to copycat foolhardiness at the slightest incident.

I think this topic can go to debate mansion & let's see what others feel abt it. What say??

I'm sure if the kid could drive all the way to the hospital, he would be fine even during the re-enactment.

i agree....

the suprising think is that he was driving since the past 7 months and was taught by his father....

i think his father should be beaten up for this.

what is he had an accident. what would have happened then. and his father he was praising him look at the guts man...

except i am pretty sure that during the re-enactment, all safety precautions were taken. it probably wasn't the boy driving himself. i highly doubt a national tv would let a kid do that for publicity purposes. so that's probably not an issue.

but the news definitely wasnt projected in the right way
