thnx for the update...little parvati saved the day for an almost boring epi...the narrative n editing seemed all hotch potch n messed up...i really hope they do a better job with the story from here...there was a time i used to rush home from office just to catch the show...n now sometimes i almost forget that the show is airing...i hope things brighten up with young parvati's entry...i really hope so yar...im losing interest by the day 😕

I dont like the way they show the Ganga character.😕 Ganga was elder sister of Parvati and she is very dear to Parvati. Only this is the reason that she is associated with the birth of Kartikey and Ganesh. She used to save her from all asuras attack, this is the reason that devtas called ganga to swarg lok, then she got stay in Vishnu's charan. Yes she stays Shiv's Jata, but this doesn't mean that she has any feeling abt him, She had stayed in Vishu's Charan, Brahma's kamandal. So this doesn't mean that she has any relation between them. The people are really sick, whoever has written this, they think that a women and men can have only that relationship. Stupid!😡

However, Kartikeya - there were 6 claimants to his parentage, including Ganga. Shiva gave the 6 divine sparks to Agni and Vayu, who took it to Ganga. Ganga took it and left it w/ Shravan - the rainforest. The Krittikas, who were apsaras - 6 of them - each took one of the babies that were created out of the sparks. When Parvati got there and came near them, the babies merged into one 6 headed baby.

That was when Agni, Vayu, Ganga, Shravan and the Krittikas all laid claim to that baby's parentage. Mahadev solved this issue by giving him names reflective of each of them. Kartikeya was the name inherited due to the Krittikas, who nursed him.

There was nothing unique about Ganga's parentage of Kartikeya, nor was it due to her relationship w/ Parvati. She came into the picture b'cos Agni & Vayu took the sparks to her to get them cooled.
