Bani is Ekta's lucky charm

On July 16, Ekta Kapoor paid her usual Saturday visit to Mukteshwar temple in Juhu. But this time she took Prachi Desai (Bani of Kasamh Se) along with her.

According to a source, "Ekta made Prachi touch all the idols in the temple. The two of them then prayed together." The source further informs that Prachi has become Ekta's favourite. "Ekta considers Prachi as her lucky charm."

'Prachi is my baby'

Prachi admitted that she had been to the temple with Ekta. Asked if she had become Ekta's lucky charm, Prachi laughed, "I think you should ask Ekta."

When contacted, Ekta could not stop gushing about Prachi. "Prachi is my baby. I have unofficially adopted her. The entire Balaji office wants to adopt her. She is so sweet and lovable. Do you know she calls Shabbir Ahluwalia 'Shabbir Uncle'?"

When questioned about the temple visit the producer said, "Yes, we did go together to Mukteshwar temple last Saturday. I generally go at 12.30 and the temple people are kind enough to open the temple for me at that time."

Prachi says that her visit to the temple was not planned. "I was at the Balaji office for dubbing that night. Ekta was going to the temple. She asked if I could join and I agreed." Ekta and Prachi went to Mukteshwar at 12.30 am. The temple was specially opened for the duo at that hour. Says Ekta, "Mukteshwar temple is very dear to me. I have been there during the day of floods, riots and bomb blasts too."

The 17-year-old Prachi says she is a religious person. But this was for the first time that she went to a Shani mandir in Mumbai. Asked if this would now be a permanent weekly feature, Prachi remained non-committal. "I really don't know. It will depend on whether I have time, though I don't think that will be easy because of my hectic shooting schedule
