Din Dhal Jaye is not a Ghazal. It does not fit into the very basic Ghazal rule of 2 lines (which are shers) in antaras (stanzas)..

pyaar mein jinake sab jag chhodaa, aaur huye badanaam
unake hee haatho haal huaa ye, baithhe hain dil ko thaam
apane kabhee the, ab hain paraaye...

But then what can we say about SK Jha....

I have heard Rekha singing live in one of those star studded shows here in USA in mid 90s. While Rekha is not a regular singer, she is also not like other actors who just dabble in singing. She definitely has much better voice close to a very very good amatuer singer. Certainly good enough to sing in the professional orchestras. I remember she had sung 3 or 4 songs at that time including some of Lata-ji's. She carried them very well and was able to get huge huge applause from the massive crowd.

i have never been a fan of rekha... lets see if her singing makes me one
