Arnavji I guess we hv taken a big walk together today & you must be tired with your meetings & travel but I couldnt myself from spending some time in your company, greedy I am n she winked, Arnav couldnt stop smiling a hesistanrt smile but yes a smile, he was feeling comfortable with her somewhere beneath the polished exterior lay the naughty Khushi, Khushi who would brighten anyones world with her smiles.
She told him, I need to go Laxmi nagar now, I am travelling later in the day, Arnav got alerted to the words Travelling, but than she continued will be back by the evening, so will text you depending the hrs I am in.
What abt you where will you be going? ever so worried, he thought & than said, may be back to RM, hmmm actually when we came to suite tonite I had thought of taking a break for the day & spend time with you depending your schedule but as u travelling I think I am gona see what to do.
This was the first time he had spoken so clearly his thoughts to her( his thoughts, his expectations in all these years).
She wished him goodbye & left, her style & her feel hadnt changed for Arnav, how easily had she slipped in her ol Avatar, with chudi, bindi & Jhumkas. Lovely she looked.
Later in the day he texted her Hows the day going, In came the reply Good.
Agn he texted All well with you? Did you have your Lunch, she told him, Yes to both the points.
He didnt know what else to write
In came her msg, looking forward to the end of the day,
later that evening she msgd him, Tired & yet still not done, no hopes for making to the meeting with you tonite sorry. Please Take rest.
Arnav felt a little disappointed yet he finished his routine & went to sleep, Instantly sleep claimed him, when he woke up at morning, he found a msg on his cell GM how are you feeling now??? hope you are refreshed. Have a great day. A smile travelled to his lips.
When he finished his morning routine & he was getting ready for work Tanmay & Tamanna entered his room, he got down onto his knees to hug the 2 most precious ppl in this world. Looking at these two kids he realised how unconditional their love was, something like his khushi had for him, it was just now in his reach, he will do anything to be with her, and he went to hv breakfast and on the dining table he agn saw roshni, her toothless smile made him rememeber Khushi once agn & instantly he took a picture of her.
He had his breakfast & and went to AR. there are he opened his cabin, a sweet smeel engulfed him, he saw a lot of red roses on his table and a small box. When he opened he saw his favorite dry fruit halwa is in it. Inside the box in a small plastic was a card, when he opened the card, inside it was a note for him, It said its been a week of togetherness hope you enjoied it Arnav ji. A full blown smile lit his face Trust Khushi for these.
Instantly he texted her, I want to meet you now, will you be avlbl for Lunch. for a few mins no reply came, he started pacing, Aman when he saw him, was wondering who is in line for of Fire today, God Help him.
Ping his cellfone rang, & Aman breathed a sigh of relief.
She told him am bzy for a site visit can meet you by 4:30 - 5:00 pm, will it be OK.
instantly he texted ok, he wondered how were those days, when she intially had come to his life, how nicely she used to pick evry nuance of his facial expression. yet he had never bothered with her.
He started his work & told Aman to remind him abt his meeting with Khushi at 4:00.
Arnd 3:30 Khushi fwd him a smiley, Yawning & dreaming, simply crazy he thought.
At 4:00 she told him leaving now, where do u wana meet me, he texted her at South Extension. She said cya
At abt 5:15 she reached, he was there, waiting for her, how had the tables turned, in the olden times, she always waited for him to come & now, she got a naughty twinkle once she parked her car, she told him, where now, he caught hold her hand took her into a upmarket indian resturant, once they sat he said to her, may I order she said by all means. he left & came bk smiling, looking at the famous smirk, she knew he was upto something, yet she was happy bcz he ws happy
soon the waiter bought Gol gappe. Khushi gv a whoppee... Thank u so much Arnavji, nothing could hv lifted my spirits after a tiring day like day, jus golgappee.
She had a lot of them once she started she just couldnt stop until tears ran from her eyes, yet she kept hving more infact he lost the count soon, in between evry 5-6 she put one in his mouth, she made them less spicy for him, yet even for one moment she didnt forget that he was with her, she had gone back to the Khushi he knew, whose joy was unbounded once it opened. and they spent the time with each other. he loved the way she enjoyed simple things in life once she finished her golgappe spree, he asked her what next??
She said whats on your mind? he told her I am free as I am not going back to office and then she said an evening under the stars is all i am thinking we could do. Arnav expression was " what the " from the olden days & she started giggling, she told him I wana spend some time with you and with stars over our heads, we gone be including your & my parents in our meeting today, hope they gona be happy seeing us trying to mk us better for each other. he said ok and then lets take my car & I will ask mohan to get your car, but this time you gonna come with me but dont ask question. he agreed. he drove on delhi noida highway & she kept looking quitely and working somethings in her mind, then she pulled her ipad and started working on some graphs & projections, Arnav was surprised to see Khushi so quite, he was used to her ramblings in all 10-11 months they had spent together previously never had Khushi sat so quite in the car, infact he always had to shout on her for keeping her queit.
He kept driving for abt 70-80 minutes and than his car took a turn into a drive way & a beuatiful solid Iron opened once Arnav pressed some codes from his SUV, it had already been dark outside. He told her to go with him, with all her paraphanelia loaded in her hand, she followed him, he asked if he could help she declined, Once inside the beautiful bunglow, he asked her to leave her things on the centre table & be comfortable. he said i will be back & left, Khushi saw it was indeed a beautiful place with artificats & expensive furniture, he returned with some water & soon a boy got them some juice & snacks, He said khushi would you like some juice or something. Khushi declined and than he said it might sometime so I hope its gonna be ok with you. In abt 15 mins the boy returned, and Arnav offered her hand to Khushi, she confidently puts her hand in his hand.
He took her outside in one of the passage & from the side they entered the patio which had curving stairs leading to a terrace, he lead & she followed him, once on they terrace she was stunned by what she saw, the whole terrace had been light with small diya looking lights & in between was a small tent with beautiful french sette at the centre, it was placed in such a manner that where ever they looked, after sitting on it, they could see the stars over their heads. there were a lot of red roses on a vase arranged very beautifully, he led her to the sette motioned her to sit, she felt shy he could see that. once she seated he joined her. he took her hand & when he held it in his, his fingers appling a slight pressure on the sides of her hands, she blushed, infact her face had started looking like a beutiful tomato. he was surprised, The new confident khsuhi could still melt so beautifully at mere touch of his fingers, tonite he felt something so potent seeing her. all these he had known her he hadnt been able to assimilate this whole new Khushi in his mind, as she was so much different from their olden days, yet at this moment he knew nothing had changed between them, he just loved the feeling.
They sat without speaking words & holding hands, they sat for a long time , time had no value today they sat 30 mins, 1 hr or 2 hrs they were sure no one was watching the time today, suddenly Khushi's phone rang, breaking the serene beautiful mood & she started talking to someone, obvilious to the whole thing, she just discussed. Arnav instantly understood it was work realted. he knew things like that could pop up anytime, once she finished the call, she told him I need to Go, He didnt ask questions & just got with a "lets go"
After reaching Laxmi nagar, she told him, I am sorry will not able be able to share the dinner with you, Hope its ok with you. He nicely replied I do understand buzz me once done,
Later that night when he went to bed he thought how those serene moments had been, how those simple silent moments spent in her company had bought him closer to her once more, wish he could some more moments like that with her which hearts communicate & mind stops, smiling he went off to sleep.
Until he had went to sleep she hadnt texted him, morning came no text, the day passed no Text, he started getting Fidgety was thinking should he call her or not but again sumthing restrained him, next morning when he woke, he found a message for him, sorry should hv texted you but I had a crisis in hand, My apologies how have you been, will think abt you & those wonderful moments with you. Once done will text you. do not worry.
He felt easy now, he still couldnt believe she had come back, what had transpired beteen all those years ago, still she had come, with her he fell in love again. later in the evening hegot a message, hope you had ur lunch hows it going. at night again he got a text, enjoi the evening, he knew she ws stuck, that something was holding her.
