Performance
Loved that the episode belonged to the leads, and focused on their bonding even though in-between running sessions.
Progress Points
1. Arnav and Khushi escape from the kidnappers den although still on the run
2. Arnav being pointed continuously to Khushi's love
Favorite Scene
Arnav: Are you ok?
Khushi: *shakes head in a no* No! *runs to hug him*
Arnav: *holds her in his arms*
Arnav & Khushi
The Rescue & the Race:
The sequence in the kidnapper's den continues and Arnav alerts Khushi to the man coming back. Khushi gets off the box, and even while the man mistreats her, she does not give away that she is aware Arnav is in the next room. Not until Arnav shouts for him to keep away from Khushi, does the man get to know that Arnav and Khushi have met.
Arnav rips apart the wire mesh and unleashes his rage at the man. They engage in a fight in which Arnav eventually beats him to unconsciousness. Following this, Arnav and Khushi escape from the hideout however, with the men of the kidnapper's gang following them. They run for about the rest of the day and end up in woods, constantly being only a few steps ahead of the men who are on a lookout for them.
During the race, both Arnav and Khushi get hurt trying to save each other.
The Awakening:
1. Arnav was busy in his clash with the kidnapper, when Khushi shouted for him to stop. All became peace and still at one call from Khushi.
He gets up from the ruins and asks Khushi if she is ok. She shakes her head in a 'no' and runs to hug him in complete abandon. Stunned for a moment, Arnav smiles and puts his arms around her holding her. Every moment before this one when she was nearly in his arms becomes alive to them.
Khushi has the joy of seeing Arnav with her and holding him in her arms - safe! All her worries put to rest. She saw Arnav and he was with her. She was not ok when she was without him. Now as she is holding him and he has gathered her in his arms with love, she is ok. Everything is ok. Everything is good.
Arnav smiles wide as he reminisces the past moments and holds a look of total bliss and pride on his face that shouts for joy - 'She is mine - my Khushi!' This is what he wanted, what he longed for - that his Khushi would run to him, into his arms, as his very own, holding onto him, and looking no further - just him.
2. As they run for their lives, they hide behind a building to catch their breath. Khushi sees some bruises on Arnav's hands and worries about him talking aloud. Arnav tries to calm her down, but Khushi is too worked up. She mentions that she was extremely anxious at home without him - it was a maddening experience for her. Arnav listens to this and is still taking it in when he spots the kidnappers.
He attempts to spy if they see them, but they are seen. As the kidnappers round up on them, Arnav and Khushi hide behind heaps of empty cartons and broken planks.
Arnav and Khushi are running into some woods. He sees that Khushi was about to hit some thorns. He pushes her out of harm's way, putting himself instead in that place and hurts his back as the thorns. Khushi sees this but does not say anything.
Arnav is about to get up and his head would clash with some thorns, but Khushi sees this puts her hand above his head, saving him from the thorns but getting hurt herself. Arnav tries to stop her saying that he does not want her to get hurt because of him, and she retorts by saying that he was doing the same for her.
After sundown, Arnav and Khushi finally spot a hut in the woods and enter it for safety.
The need to protect each other is at its height. At the same time, they still seem a bit confused about their feelings for each other which are now on open display given the circumstances.
Arnav could not hide his wrath when he saw the man attempt to molest Khushi. He had to make sure that Khushi stayed out of sight when he tried to spy the men. He held her down behind the cartons till the men left. He saw the thorns about to pierce her and pushed her out of the way choosing to get pierced by thorns himself.
Khushi did not giveaway Arnav even when the man was attempting to molest her. She got worked up about his bruises forgetting all else. She holds him in her arms as though keeping him safe. She sees the thorns about to pierce his head and lets her hand be pierced by thorns than let him be hurt.
A Willing Step:
Arnav and Khushi have apparently found comfort and love even in the most dangerous life-threatening situation. Armed men follow them as bloodthirsty hounds and they could end up losing their life. Yet in such time, their love for each other has come to the fore and defied every logic, every doubt, every fear.
The upcoming episode shows an attempt by them to give their relationship a chance.
It is a huge step for Arnav. After he'd confessed his love, he's seen a resounding response in Khushi coming to look for him and ever since she's there, all he's received from her is love and care. It is a response from Arnav to her acceptance of his love. For him, he is willing to leave the past behind and accept Khushi as his wife. His love has proved stronger than any other fact. He is willing to give himself to this relationship. It is also an indication that he has accepted that Khushi loves him.
It is a huge step for Khushi. She's seen him accepting her with love. In response, Khushi is willingly giving her all.
It is not like the Diwali near-kiss, when the kiss was more a moment when he gave into his feeling - in his words, a moment of weakness - on Arnav's part. Though he wanted it, he regretted it.
It is not like kiss during Payash wedding, when he was wooing her and being flirty.
This is a serious willing and known step to accepting their relationship and love. The readiness and acceptance to take this step is more important that taking the step. The ways that have led to this moment, have convinced Arnav and Khushi of their love and bond. The willingness to give in to each other to become one, knowingly, is a huge leap in their relationship. They have made not just their love but also their intentions pretty clear. The submission to each other is an indication that egos have settled and love has covered the past ills, proving itself strong on their behalf and rescuing them from their cells in hell.
Missed Opportunities:
Alas! Khushi was about to tell Arnav the truth once again on how she felt that Arnav was in trouble Circumstances came in the way.
Alas! Arnav could not tell Khushi he really did love her and his confession was not a call for help.
The Kidnapper
The person who has orchestrated Arnav's kidnapping is still unknown.
What do we know about them?
1. They knew that he would be at the Airport on the day he was leaving.
11. The person has enough money to keep such a plan up and running for days altogether.
However:
2. Shyam had disappeared when Arnav called, however, it may only be because he knows both he and Arnav would not talk to each other and Anjali would want him to.
3. Shyam looked suspicious when the police was said to be brought in, however, it may be that he'd be afraid due to his own misdeeds. As seen in recent episode, he is involved with some anti-social elements (he is himself one!).
Plot-wise:
1. Khushi could have handled it alone (Mami Jaan has only accompanied her); however, Mami Ji was roped in to help her. Reason for Mami Ji knowing about Arnav being kidnapped is not known and Khushi risking it all is not known yet.
Though she has provided some informative details and the practical strength to an emotional Khushi, however, Khushi had been shown to use her brain, guts, and practicality before Mami Jaan ever got in.
2. Apart from Shyam, no other active villain is ever seen. At Arnav's position, there are others who may be his enemies (business and family), however, none has been active as yet.
3. Just a thought: Perhaps, the identity of the kidnapper is going to turn out to be something/someone irrelevant to the story.
Others
1. Akash is keeping busy at work in Arnav's absence and Payal ended up being hurt. Akash is expecting Payal to understand that he is busy while Arnav is abroad; Payal is expecting Akash to understand that she too needs time from him.
Akash probably feels that when Arnav is absent, it is his responsibility to shoulder some load that Arnav has been handling nearly single-handedly.
These aren't exactly misunderstandings but differences in expectations. However, if they do not talk enough, it can lead to distances.
2. The boss of the kidnappers is still unknown.
On the Lighter Side
1. Payal: What should I wear?
Akash: Whatever you wear, you'll be the most beautiful woman at the party.
Payal: *buys it*
Fandom: *slaps their forehead*
Akash, you are the most unhelpful husband, and thereby politically correct.
Payal, you fell for that? That's the typical way of getting out of an answer they'd be held responsible for later on.
2. Arnav and Khushi race all day in Delhi summers in June, no water and no food. This would lead to serious dehydration and heat stroke on normal human beings. However, this super couple simply changes at night and finds the time (and energy) for a koochie-coo session!!
Man, do these two live on solar energy!? Normal human beings might want to hit the hay but for very different reasons - more like 'Peace, Dude! Sleep and let Sleep!'
3. Khushi, dear girl, you can be pretty proud that you have been given a divine power to control Arnav's rage. One call from you and the man obeys as though following the life energy source.
You have done this twice: once, with the goons on the way from Nainital, and now again with the kidnapper. This is enough to make you proud and to make us proud of you.
Please do NOT attempt a repeat telecast of this power when Arnav is beating the living' daylights out of Shyam - whenever that blessed day comes. You have his power, we know it, and we are pleased with you, but DON'T try this with Shyam - let Arnav do his job (for goodness sake!).
Precap
Arnav closing in. Kidnappers closing in. Big fight. On so many different levels.
This 'Sorry for the Interruption' message was bound to happen. The divinely chosen place for any real progress in the Romance category is the Poolside (in fact, if they really need the hut and the hay, they'll get some on the poolside). Besides, like we said, these two never get anything right the first time.
On the Side
Arnav's Race up the Misunderstanding Mountain
Fandom *calls out*: Arnav, that's high enough. You should start your trip back now.
Arnav: *ignores*
Fandom *calls out*: The trek gets harder up from here! You should start coming back now!
Arnav: *ignores*
Fandom *calls out*: Arnav! Can you hear us?
Arnav: *ignores*
Fandom *looks at the Ambulance and the ICU arrangement* Oh dear! Looks like this is going waste.
Ambulance Driver: Shall I go? He doesn't look like he's coming down anytime soon!
Fandom: We thought that by the time he gets down, we'd need the ambulance and the ICU. But it doesn't seem that these would be sufficient.
Ambulance Driver: *annoyed* Would you need me?
Fandom: *ignores the Ambulance Driver* The higher he goes, the more difficult it gets. Soon, there would be no way back except by jumping down. But if he does that, we'd be collecting what's left of him in jars.
I suspect he'd be in and out of coma perpetually, and in his waking moments he would oscillate between 'I-must-get-Khushi-back' and 'I-disgust-myself' sessions, alternatively - followed by 'Ouch! It-hurts' follow-up sessions.
Ambulance Driver: *irritated* Should I wait?
Fandom *ignores the Ambulance Driver*: Hope he doesn't jump to his death!
Ambulance Driver: *Frustrated; driving away*: Well, if he does, hope he falls on you. Gimme a call and I'll be back to gather your collective ruins.
Fandom: *mutters; to the driver* Heartless! Unfeeling! *to Arnav* Hey! You nutter! Get back down! That's high enough!
Arnav: *ignores*
Fandom: That's what we get for being the fandom of a stubborn know-it-all!
