Heyy yaa guys! plz dont abuse Veer shivaji! I m a pankha of DKDM like u all! Even i didnt follow Veer Shivaji post leap but it wasnt totally a flop show.. sad that colors believe only in high trps and rather than touching chewing gum type shows it touched Veer shivaji for accomodating a new show! VS was far better than those shows!

VS fans are already upset wid its closure like this, and they got a little happiness in form of this award, let them njoy their moment naa! I m a die hard chadragupta fan still i m not feeling bad over VS's win!!

DKDM will win next year for sure.. It was really weird why they didnt have two different categories for mytho and histo shows!! It really deserved bunch of nominations and awards too!

P.S. Janu, hugsss to u for ur lovely comments for CGM... 🤗🤗 Agree wid all ur comments..

Aww, hugs to you as well dear!🤗🤗 Chandragupta Maurya has the strongest cast after Prithviraj Chauhan, and I think it was also the most faithful of historical shows. Veer Shivaji may not have been the best show of the list, but it's still deserving of the award because I heard the show was very good during young Shivaji's phase.

I think that the first mistake which ITA made is to mix both historical and mythological shows into one category. They are not the same, because mythos are about God and God's avataars whereas historical shows are about the great Kings and leaders of India. Both are great but they're a different genre from each other, so it's unfair to mix them. It's like asking someone to choose between God and a historical character.🤔

Anyway, it's not a big deal...our favorites don't always win awards. Heck, I know so many people were disappointed when NDTV Imagine's Ramayan did not win the best mythological show in the 2009 awards. It had the largest fanbase and highest TRPs out of all the nominated shows, but the award went to another show, I think it was Jai Shri Krishna. But it was also deserving of the award so I'm not going to go bashing it.

DkDM will probably win other awards in the future, so don't be so sad, guys. Enjoy the leelas of Mahadev for the divinity more than popularity it receives. With the entry of Devi Parvathi, the show will become more popular with or without the ITA award.😊

I guess dey r mixing historical and mythological shows bcoz dere r very few mythological shows on tv right now.DKDM and Jai jai jai bajrang bali r da only 2 mythological shows at present on tv.dey can't make a separate award category 4 dese 2 shows so dey mixed dem in historical shows category.If dere hv been only mutho shows category den i am sure dkdm would hv won da award

in general, there are limited history and mytho shows, so no point creating separate categories, and all these shows have hardcore fans who think their shows are best, because of the content and the characters more than the actors.I have followed quite a few hsitorical and mytho shows and no matter how popular or good they were, when it came to awards they never are considered big league. heck even ramayan, the flagship show that brought trps of NDTV wasn't properly recognised in awards.

Yes Tan, you make a good point. Mythological and historical shows have always been sidelined in favor of the fictional soaps everyone is crazy about.

There have been so many mythological and historical shows that have gained far higher TRPs than many of the fictional shows that won awards, like Ramayan in NDTV Imagine which saved the channel's face for the whole duration it was running, as well as Prithviraj Chauhan. I think the show Raavan was a pretty good hit too. The only award Ramayan ever won despite having surpassed 5 TRPs at one point was the fresh new face award which Gurmeet won. It was nominated for the 2009 ITA awards but lost as you know. I think Gurmeet and Debina as RamSita were also nominated for the best couple award but lost that too.

This shows us that shows do not receive awards on how many TRPs they have, or even how large of a fanbase they have. There is definitely some underhand cheating going on so I don't think we should give such awards any importance.

We all know mythological shows are superior to all other shows anyday. At least...the good mythological shows are.😆

Award shows are manipulated in INdia,be it tv or movies and trps or popularity and voting these things are really confusing coz they never really show a balance between popularity, critical acclaim, sensibility and just plain mad rush. I just watch stuff i like and if they are good wish them to keep running and be successful.
