Hey guys .. just got back from Karu's show here in VA ... OMG! I just can't explain what a night it has been for me and my whole family ... It's 2 am right now ... And my head's been pounding for a long time now coz I screamed by guts out ... 😃 ... I better hit the bed now ... But tomorrow will be back here with pics and also small clippings of the show ... The pics have not come out really well .. But a few will just make you all happy ... And the most interesting part will be my part in the whole show .. So sweet dreams and will be back soon .. 😛
All righty here I come ... It was serisouly the HOTTEST show in town ... First I hadn't expected so many whom I knew to even come there coz hardly anyone watched the show .. It so happened that when Karu came on Tuesday to VA, the people have gone to meet him wherever he was staying and then watched his shows online ... Anyways the crowd was good ... In full 2 masti and josh ... It was arranged by a Telugu organization but a lotta other people came as well .. Which was the most amazing thing ... 😃
As we entered we heard him rehearsing the songs .. And we were sure that he has already "Entered the Building" .. 😳
Okay cutting the chase and coming to the point ... He was introduced by the MCs of the show ... And as he walked in ... We just couldn't stop screaming ... OMG! that was the best moment .. Couldn't believe my eyes that I was ACTUALLY sitting before him ... 😳 😆 But yeah .. got a grip over myself and stopped drooling and paid attention to what he was saying ...
He said that y'day was his last show in the US until next time and he had gotten tremendous reponse from NY and other places and was wanting to get an everlasting impression from the D.C/VA ... He was very excited to be in D.C area as it was D.C !!! And the crowd just cheered ... Saying that he starts with his first song ..
It was none other than Rind Posh Maal from Mission Kashmir ... He was just as stupendous as he was on the II-2 platform ... We all just went off the hook when he started ... He was overwhelmed by the reponse he was getting ...
By the way he is a goooooooood performer .. When I say good .. It means reaaaaaaaaallllllllllll gooooooooooooood ... I mean the way he commands the stage ... Conversing with the audience ... The sage way in to the next song .. his intro was just awesome ...
He spoke in all the three languages .. Hindi, English and Telugu .. All so well spoken ...
And I can't remember what he exactly said before starting his next song which was Right Here Right Now from Bluffmaster ... It was another amazing performance .. He danced so well ... He was just totally himself when he was performing ...
Since the show was all up and everything he said kinda changed gears and went on to singing a Telugu song ... Raagmayie (Ghantasala) ... He was just sooooooooo melodious .. Even if you dun understand the language you will still listen to him sing ...
Now from Ghantasala .. who is like Md. Rafi in telugu industry to ... Md. Rafi sahab himself .. He goes on to perform the Badan Pe Sitare ... This was something special for me coz he called someone from the audience and she was none other than my SISTER ... 😆 OMG! we all just went sooooooooooo crazy ... He said .. "You in the orange dress " ... and she went flying .. 😆
People in the audience were then screaming and requesting him to sing Telugu new movie POKIRI songs .. But he kept us all hanging in there ... And then they were like Megastar's (Chiranjeevi) songs .. Then he was like ... Not megastar but GANGSTER ... and he sang Ya Ali ... OMG! I loved this one very much coz I am just in love with this song .. It's like anyone can sing it and I will just fall in love .. But since it was KARU .. It made that whole effect .. Was wonderful ! 😃
Somewhere here he takes a break ... Oh! I forgot to mention .. He looks sooooooooooo much better in person ... 😳
He comes back on stage and before singing his next song he tells that the next song that he is gonna sing is his MOST fave song of all times .. It was also by Ghantasala ... Shiva Shankari ... A superb rendition .... 👏
He then calls this local singer to sing a couple duets ... She was good as well ... 😃
As she comes they start of with Hum Tum title song .. and he asked us to wave hands in the air .. and some of us had cell phone lights .. and he said "you should be here to see how pretty it looks" ... It was a slow and a beautiful song ..
Another duet song .. A telugu song .. Hai hai ga.. It was a beautiful song ...
They then go on to singing a telugu song .. very famous ... Chitapata chinukulu ... It was just awesome ... everyone sang along and was gooooood .. 😃
He then says that in order to keep a balance in the air he has to sing both soft and rocking songs ... 😃
Here comes my part ... 😳
So he said "Bunty aur Babli ho jaaye .. ??" ... And I screamed "yeah sure ho jaaye" .. he said "toh kya sunn'na chahein gey" ... I said" bunty aur babli" .. (couldn't think of any other song in that euphoric state 😆) ... and then he said " bunty babli ya dhadak dhadak ??" ... then we all screamed " Dhadak dhadak" ... and he sang that ... 😃
He then said .. " I see many pretty women wanna dance with me" .. and then I exactly knew what song ... I screamed again "PRETTY WOMAN" from Kal Ho Na Ho .. 😆 .. Aunties in the front seat were amazed we knew EVERYTHING .. 😆
Again on a break .. when local people perform ... All righty he's back now ..
Starts with none other than ... hmmmn hmmmn hmmn aaah aaaha haa ... any guesses ?? 😆 If you didn't get that it was Chand Sifarish ... aww .. It brought me back some memories as he danced the same way ... 😳
He then said " The next song is just gonna be perfect for the situation we are in right now .. " and sings One Love ... and we all sing some parts of the song ...
He then has a special dedication for a person in the audience who flew from D.C to Hyd to watch all his galas .. and her fave was Ramta Jogi and he sang that for he r.. I thot that was such a sweet gesture ... 😃
He then gets a request for Layi Vi Na Gayi .. He said "I was just surprised this didn't come earlier .. " and sang it beautifully ..
Finally here comes the song which the crowd, all the telugu people from the crowd, were eagerly waiting for ... It's from the new latest super hit movie POKIRI .. He sings Deva Deva Devuda ... It was fun .. It was just too good ... 😃
Okay 😃 Then he says I am now gonna sing a Rehman song ... everyone guessed different songs but it turned out to be Humma Humma from Bombay movie ... And guess what ??????? I was on the STAGE WITH HIM ...... 😃 😳... Aah .. ! I went bonkers .. It was just soooo crazy ... 😆😆
I know you can't see me well .. But that is me .. 😳 ...
Okay then we kept requesting for more songs ... He said one last song and sang Woh Lamhe .. But we didn't stop .. So he came back and sang Bardasht nahin kar sakta .. And it was the last song ... 😃
Then they asked us to stand in line to autographs which we had and gotten autographs ...
Here comes theBEST part .. My mom was upset since she didn't get to take the pics with him when his manager just dragged him away .. 😆 It wasn't funny last night but now it is .. Then the people with whom he was gonna stay knew my dad so we went home and talked to him ... 😃
We took pictures too .. But it's with my family .. So I am not gonna post those over here ..
But before we left .. I told him about our very special family .. INDIA-FORUMS... He said he has heard a lot about it but never got a chance to go online and check it out ... He says he doesn't even know on what days of the week where he is ... And then he said he will try and come to I-F for me atleast .. I told him about the SEVEN fan clubs he has on the forum for him and 100s of people are just HUGE HUGE HUGE fans of him ...
His message for all IFians .. He said "I love you all very much .. Thank you soooooo much for all the support you have been giving me ... I just can't thank enough .. I will definitely try and visit the forum ... Just love you all a lot"
