But thru Jan-March 2025 3 films crossed 100 crore Hindi nett. This year is just 2. That means this year could have less films that do the number than last year. An that means each of them should be welcome 🤗

Dhurandhar 2 has gone to another level on Saturday as it goes for the unthinkable and an 100 crore nett day. The growth across cinemas around the country is showing a 40-50% jump but this will have lot of advances baked in for the evening and night shows and its likely this growth may not hold till the night. Its not as the previous day did not have these advances baked but they will be more than Saturday.

It might have to settle for a little less than 100 crore nett at the end of the day but wherever it lands its going to above phenomenal in in terms of the collection and the growth especially if you consider from where it is coming. It is a holiday for Eid but irrespective of that the film was going to be huge over the weekend and Eid would have pushed it a little higher but not by much.

The film is looking to create records in practically every circuit and even the ones where the first film could have said to have underperformed are going to record the highest figures ever seen in history. the only circuit where it may not the highest number is Odisha. North India has gone to levels for which there are no words and now you can actually start talking about those 4 or even 5 crore footfalls which no film from our industry has done in the last 25 yearsa nd at apoint post pandemic these sort of footfalls looked a story of better times.

The multiplex era has never seen something like and just like the eras before it shows when patriotism is done right then even today in this modern era it sells like anything.

The line up this year is far better than last year with heavy flow of biggies from June so more 100 crore grossers can not be ruled out.

The 100 crore mark is no longer a benchmark for a biggie.It has become irrelevant!!For small movies only it should be celebrated .
