Yeah, it is very natural to think the kidnapper is Shyam,.. but he may not be for some strong reason. Shyam may be outsmartly cunning and cruel and plays with other people's feelings, the way his character has been portrayed is that he will not spare anyone who comes his way. The bird in a hand is worth two in a bush. he wants to divorce anjali because he never loved her; he was just after hier money. He is lustful about Khushi, that is it, if he finds a girl more beautiful than Khushi, he may leave her without a second thought ( she is not rich either). He got agitated when he realized that Arnav has stopped transferring funds into the joint account. So, the only way to get back is either transfer his property into his name, which he has managed to accomplish. He is left with no option to kill him, because he wants to act innocent with the rest of the RM family.. which so blindly believe him for.

The Cvs misguiding the audience to think it is Shyam who has kidnapped Arnav.. But there is more into it. Probably, they want to bring Arnav's past here .. so when the redemption track starts, Arnav and Khushi will realize they both are connected to their childhood agony. (this is later). Arnav's kidnap and khushi helping him from the kidnappers will also lead to Shyam's true colours. Anjali will be shattered and perhaps khushi may be forced to part ways from Arnav.. so the revealtion of his feelings to her over the phone is to indicate that he is in danger, though heart of hearts he loves her...

I feel Arnav has staged his kidnap with the help of Lavanya. If you recall in one of the episodes when Arhi were in Gupta house,arnav gets a call and he says to Lavanya that hum dono hatadenge.. We will oust him or her.. which Khushi misunderstands...

i think the kidnapping is planned by dhruv n aakash together😔
