Anurag Basu's latest woman

London connection

Post a generation leap, it was shown that Anurag was in London. "Sampada's character was introduced in the serial as the woman he met there," explains Moonmoon.

Now Sampada is back in Anurag's life — and he still trusts her. The track of this Balaji show has Anurag looking upon Sampada as an emotional anchor. But Sampada is in love with him.

Says Moonmoon, "Anurag and Sampada have an unsaid relationship; no feelings have been expressed. Anurag tells her everything.

Sampada knows that Anurag cannot forget Prerna. But Prerna forces Sampada to express her love for Anurag as she now only cares for Mr Bajaj (Ronit Roy) and not him!"

Back on telly

Incidentally, Moonmoon is back on the small screen after a gap. She was last seen in the SaharaOne show Kamini Damini in which she played a triple role — the younger twins of Hema Malini as well as that of her daughter.

"Prior to that, I was missing from the telly circuit as I did a Telegu film, Yagnam, which starred Gopichand. It took a lot of time to complete and I had to be in Hyderabad for more than a year," says Moonmoon about her absence from the telly circuit. "But now television is extremely happening," she says.

"I received an offer for Kasautii after being spotted in the Sunsilk shampoo ad. My association with Balaji goes a long way as I had done shows like Bandhan and Ghar Ek Mandir with them earlier."

Film career

Though Sampada is doing television and modelling, she is extremely interested in doing films — all kinds of subjects. "My dream is to do a Ram Gopal Varma film," she confesses. "I always aspired to be on the big screen. Till that happens, i.e. when someone spots me, I'm happy doing serials.
