Its quite surprising that the brothers don't even tell Yash as to what happened, which is highly abnormal especially the youngest who is so close to Yash and in that he played pranks on Yash first night of marriage. Brothers will always favor brothers, no matter what the parents think or say. They do warn or give hint even if they have very strict father.
Yash's mother (also a dadi) does not twinge and tells lies with a straight face. So the picture that is being painted is that jaddi-pushti families, who stick to their family values and believe in joint family system, the mothers is there to tell all sorts of lies and playing all her cards to break her son's marriage.
