It's because anties and uncles of India , they love to watch all sass bahoo crap in showes , they r stuck at a level from where they will never rise , they love to watch stupid dramas which has no sence and meaning , I hate all Indian dramas , but ipkknd is absolutely different , one of the most beautiful creation by gul and team members . I think this is my first and last serial which will live in my memories for ever . I don't bother TRP- . Ipkknd is always No. 1 show . So hats off to the makers , now we know the name ( 4lions )😃

i think it is cuz most of fans are international watching on you tube or dailymotions etc...

I'm going to sound silly because i don't know anything about IPL but aren't they in their final stages? Like in the actual playoff qualifier rounds now? And if so, those are the more intense games that EVERYONE tunes into, not just avid cricket fans. Last year during the world cup, i couldn't have cared less, but we ALL got up at 4 am to watch the India-Pakistan match cause it was THAT epic that even randoms who don't care much for the sport watched. So i'm going to assume that the actual elimination games have started and hence more people are watching? Because it's ending this weekend - so people are going to go crazy and watch because there must be SO much more hype surrounding it in its final few games! That's what happens here for hockey. During the playoffs, people watch, but when the actual finals start, EVERYONE watches!

The TRP's dropped becoz there was a lot of publicity about Barun not shooting for the serial but for his movie. If there was not so much publicity, atleast some hardcore Barun fans would not have tuned off from this serial. They could have shown the kidnapping track with some shots of Arnav in with the kidnappers maybe just in one room thinking about Khushi.

I agree with your points! Maybe all these factors individually wouldn't have done the damage to this extent. I mean if they really needed the comedy to fill the episodes during IPL, they also needed all the actors when it was time to get back on track. Maybe they hadn't factored the unavailability of actors in between. We can't count as their fault.

Also, if they knew that Barun will be absent for some time, then maybe they should have cut down on mindless comedy. Fillers could have also been with Payal and Akash, Mami and Payal - not with comedy, but in a way that would have justified their relation positively!

But now, let's just hope everything goes back as it was during the wedding track! Fingers crossed!

Why s'd i put up with shabby production values, shoddy editing, stupid/OTT screenplay etc etc. And bt ppl saying how can some show xyz ve more TRP than IPKKND i think its not fair 2 pull down other shows. I dont watch BV but i guess it has a gud msg where they showed the female lead walk out of her cheating hubby, become a village leader & fighting for social cause. As a story line or plot i w'd say it definitely deserves to b higher than our show. But such stories are not my cup of tea. Hence i dont watch BV.

Coming to IPKKND it caters to a niche audience. Young, educated women. It doesnt ve family audience & of course male species keep away from Indian soaps. So considering that u ve small but dedicated viewer base u s'd b careful what u dish out to them.

Not stupid Swami stuff or OTT comedy or cow dung dance. I am 1 of the few who hates RV with all that staring contest & chest heaving. Looks v idiotic. I look around furtively to chk if anyone is watching me what this chest heaving ensues. So moral of the story, understand ur audience base & come up with a strong plot catering to that audience. What ppl like me signed up for was a mature, adult intense love story. Not all this nonsense.

They lost a lot of viewers in the past 3 mths. Now those ppl ve moved on to other shows & it ll b extremely tough wooing them back esp when ur male lead is on leave.

Unless the story picks up & they pay more attention 2 dialogues, screenplay & editing there is no hope for the show!

But whether we want to accept it or not, there is a category of viewers that over the time turn loyal to the show. It's like with any other thing in the life! You get attached to something, you start feeling for it! You then start appreciating all the efforts that go through the production process and you learn to ignore their flaws. I hope you are getting what I'm trying to say here.

And of course, these so- called loyalties are temporary, they change! I agree, seeing something you don't like keeps you off the track! And nonody expects the show to jump on the first position after one good episode. But nobody stops hoping that it wont be number one either! Let's keep the discussion for BV aside and see IPKKND in clear view.

The show promised us something in the beginning, it swayed in the way- true! But now it stands such a position where they ate trying to give us what they promised and they are expecting us to be back to the show. So can we just keep everything aside and support it for once??

They should give that TRP measuring meter in each of our houses!!!!

Dear Mystic i completely understand ur feelings. Believe me even i feel bad when the TRPs drop & i feel happy wen Barun or Sanaya win an award. Even i love this show. To be honest initially i started watching for the interesting premise & later on wen the TRAIN LA TO BE SANSKARI track started as an educated, working woman i hated the show coz that LA track offended my sensibilities but I continued 2 watch only coz of Barun. Now even Barun is away but u know what i ve still been watching this show even though the story no longer captivates me & Barun is missing. So even i am a loyal fan.

What i meant was not all viewers are fans. There might be many who simply drifted towards the show coz like me they may not dig saas-bahu saga or heavy stories fighting for social causes. Its these additional viewers who bolstered the TRP to as high as 4. Aft the marriage track started the story & screenplay deteriorated & these additional viewers lost interest. Of course the final nail in the coffin was BS's leave. So these floating viewers (i use the word viewers not fans of the show) drifted away.

The show always had a steady TRP of 2.3 - 2.9 because of FANS that is ppl like u, me & the rest of the folks on IF. It peaked to 4 due to the floating population or just VIEWERS who dont ve owe any allegiance to the show & simply tune in to what ever catches their imagination.

So what i am trying to say is that there is nothing more that fans like us can do. We can keep the TRPs steady at 2.5, max 2.8/9. That's about it. For the TRPs to really soar the PH & CVs need 2 start frm scratch & try to capture the fancy of the audience by:

1. No more OTT comedy esp with the leads plz. If required use Mami & her assorted relatives for that but a big NO to OTT comedy by the leads.
2. Fix the gaping holes in the screenplay. A so called business tycoon doesnt even bother 2 hire a private detective 2 collect evidence on Shyam & his supposed mistress Kushi. What bull shit?
3. Stop the eyelocks & chest heaving. Give meaningful RVs. Classic eg being the car park hug, payal scene on Diwali or yesterday's phone confession scene.
4. Show more inner monologues of Khushi. Till this kidnapping track started viewers never felt she ever loved Arnav or loves him.
5. If u want 2 give filler episodes make them meaningful like yesterday's convo bet Nani, Payal & Akash. Focus more on the other characters as well.
6. Concentrate on the dialogues.
7. Come up with knock out promos like Teri Meri or the marriage or ILU confession. Not stupid ones like Kamlesh Kabri, Kushi's jasoosi etc

Plz dont get offended coz i brought up BV. I mentioned it coz ppl here in the forum ve this habit of trashing other shows like SNS or BV or DABH. How can ppl trash them if they claim that they dont even watch those shows. If their TRPs ve increased they might ve genuinely introduced interesting plot lines.

My advice is Set our house in order rather than trashing other shows. They may or may not deserve gud TRPs. But the contest here s'd never be on who is less bad or less trashy but which show is more watchable & beautiful. Lets set lofty standards for ourselves & our show & hope things get on track soon!
