If he doesn't explain, she will feel he still has feelings for Anita and doesn't want to let her go. If he explains that he doesn't want Anita to be forced to marry someone who is in love with another girl and is being forced himself, she is going to think Ahemji still feels stuck in this marriage with her.

The only thing that can make her feel happy is if he clearly says that he doesn't regret his mom forcing him to marry her, because she made the right decision in picking Gopi and he got lucky in having her. I doubt Ahemji will say that to her🤢. This is a lose lose situation for Gopi.
