Mud House and The Golden Doll: Revival of cinema industry

THE wait is finally over for those who were waiting impatiently for the release of 'MudHouse and The Golden Doll'.

The first-time filmmaker Hamza Ali Abbasi, who has credibility of a brilliant theatre person on his resume, is the leading character of the movie. The movie is based on a realistic character that lived in Multan and was known as 'Malang' by the local resident. The 100 minute film explores the unexceptional bonding between a mad man and a young girl, the entire story revolves around their 'innocent friendship' that has been taken at a wrong angle by society's hawk eyes.

This film is a learning experience for Abbasi who has given a hope to the revival of Pakistani cinema.

The movie screening will be taken place at Pakistan National Council of Arts on May 25, 2012, and after few days it will be distributed in cinemas of different cities.

Hamza believes that this movie could also encourage young filmmakers to form movies on some strong social issues that can bring change not only in society but also in our cinema industry.
