Comparison of Dream Sequences. Not popular opinion

DISCLAIMER: - Before chappals or whatever head my way, NOT completely canning today's dream sequence, I liked moments of it (finger-to-lip, pearls, almost kiss moment...)

Khushi has had a multitude of dreams revolving around ASR but only two have been romantic.

Today's sequence and one a few months back when she imagined herself married to ASR.



Today's dream sequence didn't work for me (except the pearls) it seemed rushed and hastily put together, even sloppy - ASR seemed out of character. Some might argue this is Khushi's dream sequence and her perception of a romantic ASR but I don't think that's correct - when Khushi dreamed of being married to ASR (above^) - he was romantic but in character - that scene had a charm of its own whilst today's left me cringing slightly with the filmy cliched running around...😆 (I have tried to like it!)

Love changes people as the saying goes. But I've never pictured ASR lighting candles, chasing after Khushi and crushing her to his chest (instead of backing her against a wall, as per practice) - it didn't fit.

Compare to the Khushi's first dream sequence of ASR, it seems so much more well thought out and subtle. Not attempting to be overtly romantic but succeeding nonetheless - I loved how she imagined ASR still retaining his cold, arrogant attitude, downright refusing the jalebi's she made him reminding her he's obviously diabetic BUT the romantic element kicking in when she asks him how she looks and he seductively blows in her ear because he thinks she looks hot but makes a taunting playful comment.

Call it moaning, mourning, negativity or simple disappointment but today's dream sequence didn't live up to expectations - especially when compared to scenes like this:

I want to like what was shown in this episode but I can't help feel it was lacking and hastily placed together - despite the odd moments where it made complete sense!

I fully agree... it did not work for me either.. even the actors did not seem comfortable running around the pool side... I loved the scene where Khushi placed her finger on ASR's lip ...

Yep like you said the dream sequence shown some moons ago is a thousand times better than what was shown today... I guess they are trying their best to bring the romance back in the serial without much success...

i agree. It did seem hasty and asr seemed totally out of character. For me that glimpse of almost kiss scene still had more impact than the whole dream sequence! :)

Okay im going to be honest... I was pretty gaga over this dream seqeuence but if you think about it logically I completely agree with you.. Arnav was really out of character, well maybe its cause of Khushi hearing him say I love you, it changed the perspective of Arnav for her, but somewhere down there, now that I think about it, it was a bit to fluttery... I think im a sucker for ArHi scenes... I would still say I liked it but in comparison to this diwali dream, which is one of my fav scenes, it could have been a bit better [= Awesome post Ouma! that scary nightmare romance , i aImost decided to quit IPK after the running around the pooIside scene , second haIf was surprisingIy better with kushi figuring out and arnav heId hostage scene , i think cvs havnt Iearnt the Iesson iIItimed romance, comedy, r intensity cannot heIp in regaining the trps

as you said the scene was shot in a hurry , no attention to detaiIs , actors Iooked tired,

i think atIeast untiII this track is done with ,barun shouId be brought onIy if required after aII the hype, just having him in a scene for the sake of it wiII not heIp, he was great in the hostage scene heIpIess and tired

i think the same it was a different scenerio first time she hasnt sensed anything fromm his side it was her imagination about asr but today she felt like arnav as she has listened those three words

first of all it was rushed. barun is only shooting for a while.

So true today's dream sequence paled in comparison to the first one.

It was kind of funny i thought they were suppressing a laugh😉
