Basically the cv's haven't portrayed BBP as an out and out scoundrel. Just after that MLTAK wedding , they wanted to depict him in -ve light , the TRP's started plummeting and to restrict that freefall they are now showing "the machiavellian man" as " mystery man". The cv's are now in a catch 22 situation - the moment they show Brij as a villain the trp's will crash down like sensex ,atmost they can show him as the hero with anti hero qualities. On the other hand , inspite of their infinite attempts, audience have outrightly pushed the idea of "POOSH" ,Krish to bardhasst ke bahar hai😉 ( the song sequence is a proof), the creative team is really hanging mid air.

I have a question - why most of the honest police/ investigative officers are shown as drunk(ard)?

Unfortunately, I don't see that happening. BBP is very careful not to even go within touching distance of Pooja. He stands in the doorway of the room while talking to Harivansh and doesn't even really look in Pooja's direction until Harivansh points at her and even then he's got the other Tiwaris on his mind. It's like Pooja as a person does not exist in his head right now. Which is what's confusing the hell out of me.
