How do you react when you talk to your husband after what seems like ages? What do you feel when the initial emotions of relief sweep away, replaced by the joy and contentment to hear him after so long? Knowing that things may not be perfect at the moment, but hearing him, his voice, his heartbeat, his silence, the unspoken words, the unshed tears... she clutched the phone to herself, never ever wanting this feel of him to go away, if there was one thing she wanted, it was to hold him tight to her, safe and secure, protected from the rest of the world.
Khushi Singh Raizada was in love- and like any lady who has ever experienced that emotion, she was doubtful as to how much time had elapsed since they'd last being together. Suddenly it was as if they were back at the airport, she could feel him that close. So much had happened since then- the realisation of her love included- yet it was as if time stilled. It didnt matter that the family was crowded in the back of the room, it didnt matter that he was thousands of miles away from her. So relieved was she to hear him, to softly take her name, she clutched tighter for it was so hard to believe!
Yet Khushi found herself listening as he spelled out that he was okay, a fresh bout of tears emerging from her eyes. She hardly sniffed, her tears continued to spill. When he told her softly to stop crying, there was nothing Khushi could do to pay heed to his request. She wanted to tell him that her senses were no longer in her own control, she could no longer command herself to do anything! But he insisted, in soft sweet hushed tones, and his wife found herself holding on to every word, taking in his care and concern.
And so, even though she may not admit it, Khushi's heart knew it before he even said it. Yes, it stunned her when he cried out her name, when he told her he loved her. Her eyes flew wide open, knowing this was it! There was no turning back, and a little tug from her heart informed her that Khushi knew this all along! He had loved her all along, but to hear him say it in that deep husky voice of his... in that moment, Khushi knew that there would be no man of greater value to her, ever ever in her life, than the one who was called Arnav Singh Raizada.
P.S. We must applaud Sanaya for her EXCELLENT and EXCEPTIONAL acting today! She made us believe that once in the middle of a lifetime, fairytales definitely do exist! :)
