I know mods won't be happy that we are bringing this topic again on surface, but it hurts when ppl who were so nice to all IFians so far are banned. I understand your point for banning them but did you guys ever think why it all happened......as far as I know, you were giving a fair chance to the other member Saad so that he could come n apologize for what he did after Mumbai crisis. That's so nice of you - But did he ever come and apologize? Nope, cause that was his intention and I don't have any problem with that...we are independent for what we think unless it doesn't hurt others feelings.....but he made an aggressive siggy after the chance given to him !!! and that shows his intentions....waiting for him to come n apologize made delay to take action on ur part (I saw those posts wherein mods clarified what they were thinking while giving a chance to saad......and that's good, atleast u think so positively...kill the sin not the sinner !!)
But this delay made some of IFians to react, and its obvious. And we know some of the reaxns weren't fair but to me, it was all circumstantial....no one had any bad intention to do that but it happened coz situations were asking.....think yourselves as 'just member' and see what could have you done if such situation was confronting you.
Sid was also targeted by one unidentified person – whom unfortunately, you are still not able to track-and that's gone past thing now. I'm sure Sid don't feel any bad even when it was on his newly born baby and must have forgotten that incident by now. Then why he reacted this way? Ever thought abt that? Lemme tell you, since we all requested him to forget abt that bad patch and we all showed him how much we care n love his daughter.....so as a responsible n senior member, he accepted the fact that this world is full of such bad ppl n that doesn't mean he has to keep his attention on this things which are in fact not trivial, but life must move on. Thanx Sid for such nice gesture and for that, I still respect you. I don't know how wud I react to such situation if someone attack on my baby or any other family member but u showed maturity.
To me, it looks like, even though they used something which is not acceptable but that was not intended. And for this reason, they should be given a chance....same as you were giving saad (n no problem in doing that, you are there to keep this forum a happy place). Its long time after that incident and I urge you to consider this ban and make them active once more. I'm sure they ain't bad ppl and it just happened !!
In fact I was banned twice without any reason in Feb. (ask Anjali.Nair who rescued me) and I never asked why my IP was banned....but this case is a bit different. Not that we can't live without IF - but we spend a considerable time here n it's a part n parcel of our life.....
I don't know how u mods will feel but to me, it is a punishment which was undue. If you were giving Saad a fair chance, it should also be considered on the same line...I don't know what guidelines you mods follow to keep IF active n fair, but in such exceptional cases, we should be considerate and should care for the feeling of the members.....
Sorry for such a long write-up but this is how I feel and I'm feeling so bad that the place which was the most pleasing one at one time is now torturing for many of our fellow member - I don't care what saad did and what was in his mind, but whatever happened afterwards was just because of him....in any case, no one wud ever let anyone to attack so openly on one's country.
I know some of the mods suggested so many ways to prove our patriotism-instead of sitting here n doing nothing but to write n write, if I were a mod, I would also do the same, but is that feasible when we are so far from country/motherland? Can you, as a mod, tolerate anything bad for your creation (India Forum) – ask Vijay how much he would be taking care of this forum and how much efforts does he invest in maintaining it......and how much he get hurt when something goes against IF....then why cant someone react in the same way when one's country is being under attack by some weird fellow.
I was busy in my personal works but it was hard to keep myself away....but I guess even I wud react in the same way as did the others....and its natural......
Sid, mal and payal went a bit ahead and they must be penalized...but not forever......and I'm sure we all members are of same opinion that they are not bad by intention.......please consider it.
And why do I care? Well, 'cause from the last five-six months, all members are so nice to each other and we all are like a family – its obvious for us to think abt each other. And I guess that's why IF was started, to keep the ppl intact event when they are thousands of miles away !!
My fellow member Mans made a thread and that was closed saying that it is not related to Indian Idol but of course it is related to If family, of course they are related to IF and they spend so much time on IF and anything related to them is related to Indian Idol section on IF so mods please dont close this thread. Lets see the view of the members. If any member has a problem with this then they can say here and you can close it...but please be considerate, we really care for each other and for the well-being of IF.....
Last but not the least, instead of explaining or giving me some words like many other members got when they requested you consider this, I would be more happy if something fruitful happens in this whole episode. What they did is not appreciable at any level....but in any case, that was momentarily reaction and being a human being, we all do these mistakes. A spat in family doesn't mean expulsion from family, no matter how worse it is – there has to be some solution and I urge you for that, rather than giving me some more reasons why they were banned !! I wholeheartedly accept that your decision was rational but it needs more attention now.....
PS – please, don't make it a chat thread n just post what u have to say, and I urge all members to cooperate mods to keep this forum clean n fair....so plz.......
