one thing that I want to add here is that many of Indians may not have respect for one or other politicians even when they are role model to millions...but that doesnt necessarily mean that those ppl hate their country !!!! there is distinct difference between loving/adoring or following political figures and loving to a NATION, even Mahatma Gandhi, whom we call 'father of nation', is not accepted by many millions of Indians...who simply dont believe in his theory - but that doesnt mean disregarding him. And thats the beauty of democracy - you may or maynot accept ppl who actually are rulling or are making mark on whole nation....

just mine two cents and as I said, I respect your feelings and every incident that causes distress to someone should not be ignored n should be treated with same yardstick......
here, people were talking abt something else.....more than these political figures.....concerning to a nation.....hope you understand what I mean to say...

sry buddy tht i put this in ur thread because it is in no way connected to ur topic.i just put it here because the mods and the members were paying attention to this thread but u r right disrespecting a leader of our country is not a bigger problem than the one we r discussing right now and even if mahatma gandhi and Jawahar lala Nehru would have been paired with antara and meenal in tht poll it should'nt have mattered according to ur logic because afterall wht are they,just politicians???.well bravo for ur thinkg and ur cause👏.Mahatma Gandhi ,JLN and Indira ji are not only politicians and they represent the history of our country and disrespecting them on a forum (or anywhere else)where more than half the members are from other countries is disrespecting India,remember i am not talking abt Laaloo ji here but a veteran freedom fighter of our country.

I am sry again tht i i brought such a petty cause here.I had the pictures of these leaders in my office in India and i am not used to someone disrespecting them,discussing their policies is different frm how their name was used here..

hey dear....I'm sure you took it more personal and I have no intention of causing any distress to any of the member in whatsoever form.......forgive me for my act of putting my concerns in the forum but I thought I shuould also express what I felt and I have been repeatedly saying at many fronts that I respect feeling of each and every member...even when I dont subscribe to many of their ideas/approaches....I feel really bad that my reply to your post made you think so but believe me, deep down the heart, I believe that disrespecting anything related to formation of a country is a sin but at the same time, we are not bound to regard everything...do we? and when i say all these things, there is not a slightest tint that i disregard any of these figures.....rather, for me, history is the path of future and I'm always optimistic.....anyway, you raised a finger on my feelings and I'm feeling so bad........instead of members that are in question, I was thinking of processes that we should take care of....

many of my fellow freinds would remind that at one point of time, when saad was causing nuisance in many threads, I tried to cool him down and at one point he also mentioned that only i was able to understand him !!! and that becuase i wanetd to make things easier for everyone, but not at the cost of distress in whatsoever form to other members.......anyway, since you would not take these things in the form they were said, I apologize to you as well...and this is not my thread, this is a thread that i opened so that ppl who think on the same line can express their concern....and also those who dont think that the issue should be reconsidered........and I never thought to get attention of members or mods...thats a completely wrong notion.....I'm happy that one member from mods team and many fellow members appreciated my efforts and that's what i needed....there has to be a change and if we can initiatie process of change, nothing is better than that......

anyway, to make it short, lets forget about differences and see what good we can bring in our system....may it be a family, community, locality, nation or as trivial as a forum......but when we are a part of something, we must think of doing some good to it......thats the bottom line

I just wanted to make sure tht this kind of disrespect would not happen again on the forum.I was very very offended by tht poll,had reported it but still nothing happened so i thought of putting it here.
But anyways sry once again but i just wrote wht i wrote because i too felt bad tht u would not consider this thing important enough.Sorry.

and I'm so sorry abt that poll....I dont know why all these random things happen but they are part of IF from a long time.....and we'll generally take them lightly.....I can see distress that you experienced since you seem to be emotionally connected with these figures....I feel so bad abt that and hope things wont turn up of that scale in future......

lets make things better and lets make life easier for each of us.....lets convince ppl not to play with the emotions of others !!! and having said that, all I mean to say is - have fun but not of the scale that cuases pain to others !!

Yes i am emotionally connected to those figures and i don't understand tht how can an Indian not be emotionally connected to them,they represent my country.Please i am saying once again tht this issue is not important because i felt bad,its important because its a disrespect to india.sorry but u are getting me all wrong here.GOD!!!!

oops....I guess more words more confusion - I agree to your points in totality and accept it wholeheartedely....
mine only intention was to request mods to put an end to the whole episode without hurting anyone and so far, I'm glad mods are so helpful....their act was justified and there has to be some way to solve it forever with a lession for all members to learn for future....that was the idea...
