The old fans surely miss the "golden era" as we term it when there was a meaning for marriage, love and sacrifice.Once the CV's changed all went to a toss.We had our Arman sleep on the roads, starve for food,no house to stay , penniless but that love was always there which made all of us see them endure the tough times.Hence old school fans like me can understand ur/Arvi fans frustration dears.Dont worry hopefully this change will be good for PR n Arvi .
Just hope that in the upcoming drama,Archu gets some support instead of she kept in the middle and blasted left right and in the middle. But alas everything has to happen with Archu involved for the CV's.It would be so better if Arjun-Purvi-Ovi are allowed to resolve their issues themselves and not caught by circumstances and without Archu/Manav dragged into this.Ideally they should run 2 parallel tracks and not intertwined tracks.
Hopefully the coming changes would bring in some positive changes and hopefully for all Arvi fans the moment of re-union is nearer than before and we old school fans get to see Archu to be in some peace and get her deserved lost happiness.

Jai... Sleeping on roads, looking for food, going through hardships but still having such deep and expressive love for each other...u just hit the nail on the head!!!! This is what the CVs seem unable or unwilling to understand. You want to raise TRPs but still have drama to provide twists and hook the fans?? Here are some ideas...

Now in our ARVIs case the hardship is in another form. They have so much to face ahead of them. God where do I start? Purvi is an orphan, Archu is going to get a big backlash from this, Manav still has not accepted Purvi as a daughter...much less fulfilling the poor girl's dream of uniting her parents, Punni wants revenge and is hell bent on breaking them up (I would not be surprised if her next step is some kind of sexual harrassment accusation or something against Arjun once she fails to separate them- this is a whole other drama.) Ovi will definitely want revenge since she will lose Arjun, and Savita will just do everything on her power to drive Manav, Ovi, and Teju against Purvi- she will make sure Manav will not accept Purvi openly as his daughter- and this is the thing she craves the most. Sulo will probably turn on ARVI too...land Varsha/Soham are coming back to top things off.

Isn't this enough???? Please listen to me carefully CVs...there is sooo much scope for drama and sooo much story to tell. This is how to get the best TRPs: for God's sake unite these two, Show us some intense, loving PDA filled scenes (almost to censorship point) for our beloved ARVI. Show us their love and their desire for each other. Then show us how TOGETHER, UNITED IN LOVE, they tackle all the situations I have listed above.

I guarantee u you will get ur huge fan base back, save ur show, and have awesome TRPs to boot.

Maybe I have a soft spot for him but I do feel for him because he is also hurting so much.

They need to be showing ARVI scenes, like before -- soft, genuine, delicate scenes ..full of magic .. the tension between them, no in hurry scenes please. No AK-Ovi dances and PDA please, I as a viewer of PR, want to close my eyes to those.

My dear Archana,

After reading this post and the follow up one further down the thread, what can I say but that both are SUPERB. There is a clarity and a comprehensiveness in the analysis that is admirable, and you have very clearly made the one point that is crucial for the future of the Arjun-Purvi relationship: that he has to understand that he can no longer focus only on Ovi's sensibilities, but has to take care of Purvi's on a priority base if he is not to lose her.

You have also, with clear-eyed detachment, identified and described the other problem: that even if Arjun rehabilitates himself in Purvi's eyes, this too will solve nothing. The scene at the Karanjkar residence yesterday must have made it clear to Purvi. I was a little disappointed at her telling an unnecessary lie and giving Arjun a character certificate "There is no (other) girl in Arjun Sir's life". She need not have gone so far at all; why should she be expected to know what Arjun does outside the office? She could have fudged her answer without saying anything precise. When the truth comes out, she will end up looking worse than necessary.

But right then, if she had revealed everything, I do not think she could have handled the storm that was sure to follow.

As and when Arjun comes clean to Ovi, the same storm will burst, and it will affect Purvi much more than Arjun. Nothing will ever be the same again for her - whether with her Manav Baba or with her aaji, and possibly even with her aai and Teju. That is the cross Arju-Purvi will have to bear even if they stand together against the rest of the world, and the cross will be more for Purvi than for Arjun, as it is she who cares far more than he does about being loved by all these people. There is no real and complete happy ending that one can see here.

Amidst all this gloom, present and future, apart from my favourite Teju, the one character who perks me up these days is Punni, eternally optimistic and unrelentingly devious, and imbued with a never say die spirit.

I do wish Purvi had a dollop of this spirit. She would then have read Arjun the riot act without any rona dhona, as befits the strong girl I would like her to be, and then she would have sat him down and

(a) asked him what precisely he planned to do and when and then, as this was bound to be vague at best,

(2) told him what to do and set him a tight deadline, after which she would cut him loose for good. That just might have worked. I am not sure the present line is going to work, unless it is followed up with more of the same.

Alas, Purvi either does not know how to and/or does not want to fight for what she desires; she retreats incessantly, and does not make Arjun come clean in precise terms. Sometimes it feels like all she wants is to run away and hide. But pretty soon, there will be nowhere for her or Arjun to hide, and they had better take the offensive at the earliest.

Finally, I hope the CVs take note of all the deliciously promising complications and MUs that you have so obligingly listed out for them and make good use of the fruits of your splendidly creative imagination!

Just watched the episode online (Thank you again Issa!!! 😉) and will watch on TV tonight so it will be clearer.
Ok so here is my take: (Jhanvi darling get ready to start doing cartwheels now...because finally you wont believe Archu is actually saying this after all our weeks of going back and forth between our opposite sides of the camp although we have a very mutual love for ARVI)...
This was an excellent episode. Yes, Purvi was harsh with Arjun- but this is the one time that I am going to say this was perfect and much needed. 👏 She told him the truth of her pain and her heart. I loved the part when she told him she really loved him ("sucha pyar kiya") and although she is denying loving him now I dont even have to expound on this because its a blatant lie and they both know it- Arjun knows Purvi very well by now and knows exactly why she is doing this.
No pain no gain. The MU between the 2 of them has got to clear to prepare for stage 2. And we know the only way that can happen. Purvi said it herself so Arjun could hear it clearly "You cant be engaged to one girl and love another" So the facts are simple- Arjun will have to break the engagement. There is no other way out now. I for one, am thrilled with the convo between them. She managed to communicate to him her love for him and the pain she is in- also the fact that she is suffering greatly in silence- there is nobody to tell it to. And although she could forget Vinay she cant forget this.
I love Arjun to death...and have been one of his most prominent defenders in this forum. I still do strongly believe he is judged a little too harshly sometimes. However, in this case, this was exactly what needed to happen. Simply for the reason that in this, as in all things, sometimes we really tend to take something for granted and really dont realize the need for action for something so precious unless we are in danger of really losing it. I feel this will push Arjun to this realization- and Ovi's feelings and the family drama will ultimately prove less important to him than losing Purvi's love.
Shyamala said it best- in light of the family's reaction to Ovi's fears, Purvi will definitely keep as much distance as possible from him. This will drive him to a breaking point of desperation. He said "Purvi is his world...his life"...and we all know this is true...she is everything to him. Well now the time has come to fight for it. And then on to Stage 2:

Contrary to what we thought earlier, with the exception of DK- who knew beforehand, nobody will be in Purvi's corner now. I had a feeling this would happen- Sulo I knew would be against her from the beginning- this will bring up memories of Varsha. But now Archana is so busy fawning over Ovi and so convinced that Arjun could not do anything like this, when she finds out it is Purvi that Arjun loves...and realizes how much time they spent together in the office- which she also encouraged- her emotions are just going to go haywire. She may end up supporting them (as Jai mentioned in another post), but initially she will definitely lash out in anger and surprise at Purvi...this will upset both since that has never happened to Purvi before. The pain coming to Purvi is going to be intense. Both Arjun and Purvi are going to have to face it together and I think this is where the track is heading.
Even when the MU clears up between the 2 of them, and their love is out in the open, the backlash will be very intense. It really is a no-win situation. Once Teju/Ovi find out that Archana is their mother- it is Purvi who will have to endure the extreme guilt of knowing that Ovi will definitely not accept Archana and she will have to watch her mother's heartbreak. Even though we all know it is wrong, and no fault of Purvi's, it does not take a genius to figure out this is where we are headed. Even if Archana comes around, Purvi will have to find a way to make Manav/Savita/Ovi/Sulochana come around.
On a side note, Jai your post gives me hope. I am glad that Zee is stepping in and getting Ekta/CVs to get moving to get the TRPs up. Its rather obvious how to do this- clear the MU between ARVI. Give us some much needed love scenes, touching, and etc. and everyone will come flocking back in droves. With Savita landing up, Varsha/Soham scheduled to begin, and etc. we know that ARMAN still has a long way to go...
So my suggestion CVs is get a move on with ARVI and clear the MU. As long as they are united in their love for each other, the fans will be back in droves- there is plenty of story and drama around Stage 2- there is plenty of opportunity to continue the story in terms of how they will win the approval and blessing of their families.

Hi Shyamala and abhi...
Thank you so much for your reply to my posts- Im glad you liked them! Shyamala your points are excellent as always.
One thing I will admit though...even though I know I might get raked over the coals in the forum for this- I agree we need a more dignified response from Purvi and not so much the rhona dona. However, Im actually kind of glad to see the expressive side of her too. Even though my heart ached for her to see her cry and kiss Arjun's picture...too often we have been seeing Arjun be the one who is more loving, demonstrative, etc. We know for sure how he feels. Since Purvi is far more reserved, I actually liked seeing that she loves him deeply too...
Even though the scenes were hard to bear since she was so badly hurt...it was good to see and hear that this is an equally deep love on both sides in terms of the intensity. We both thought in the relationship that Purvi is the one who is loved- I know for sure I did- I thought Arjun's was the greater love.
But even though these scenes were tough on us (the picture scene at home after the party, and yesterdays scene) it actually made me realize that he means just as much to her as she does to him.
As far as the rest of it...my Stage 2 so to speak...those are exactly the points I was trying to make. Clearing the misunderstanding between them as soon as possible is very vital at this point to keep our interest. Because now the tables have turned. If the CVs had let things be...and focused on their misunderstanding while everyone continued to remain in happy ignorance about anything that would have been one thing. But now yesterday's scene has totally changed the game. By bringing the fact that there is another girl in Arjun's life to Ovi's intention, the CV's showed us what the reaction from the family members would be. From what we saw it is very obvious that the idea of Arjun with another girl produced an extremely negative reaction, even from Archana and there was no scope for any kind of acceptance at all.
I still hope Teju will prove to be our X factor. We have been shown that she had her suspicions from the beginning regarding Ovi's belief of Arjun's love for her. I hope she does eventually come around to stand with Purvi. But you are right- when the truth comes out Purvi will bear the brunt of a very painful and intense backlash, and there will be no where to run and hide. She will need all the support she can get- beginning with Arjun. For some time all they will have is each other- literally- until DK comes back and some of the others start to come around. If we have to see her go through this without Arjun's love and support I will definitely stop watching the show for sure and Im sure the rest of the viewers that are hanging in there will start leaving as well. Nobody would like to see Purvi suffer through that totally alone. It is bad enough that we have to mentally prepare ourselves ahead of time for that kind of meanness and ugliness- but to leave her completely alone and defenseless with Arjun also not talking to her will be just way too much for the fans.
I know for a fact there are plenty in this forum that will definitely walk unless the CVs at least give her Arjun back to stand with her and protect her. It will not be easy and will be very hard to watch but at least we will have the solace of watching them face it together. Just like Jai pointed out in his post- Archana/Manav went through something similar- no place to stay, sleeping on road, etc.- but at least the viewers had the solace of seeing their deep love and affection for each other...and they faced it together. Thats what is going to have to happen here as well.

Asha/Purvi's acting is great, and yes she cld have skipped the lines about the middle class girls just get married have kids...there is a dire need to clear up the MU between ARVI and as you point out Archana (and as Jai mentioned abt zee tv etc) that is what will keep us going. I don't know how the CVs will revive the MAGIC for us- doesn't seem very hard does it- like Trish said in the scenes we wld love to see- they have to be together for that too- no screaming /screeching by Purvi and bleating by Arjun (as Shyamala said)

-Dk has gone over to the other side of the world so i have no immediate hopes for his return.
- Archana liked ur Teju x-factor for us- she seems enthu, loves Purvi and is logical rational and i hope she comes around first and not just focuses on her Barbie doll
- Archu- Gosh how i detest her Ovi Ma'am...she had better play fair to Purvi
- Sulo- no hopes- seen her true colors during the MMS
- Manav- forget it...don't even think about it- him support Purvi when he was trying to escape Purvi expressing her gratitude to her Baba for the happiness he gave her Aai..
- Wondering what the precap is all about and as someone said how come Ovi is so comfortable with Arjun and not up in arms, was Purvi's certificate of character (from a middle class girl) for Arjun Sir enough for her?
Come to think of it, other than DK (who is not actually supporting in the true sense since he is MIA), who else is supporting Arjun? The CVs have to realize Arjun and Purvi have to be together in this mess...and sort it out...TOGETHER...
