Thank u all for reading and complimenting my post!!! I'm hoping the CVs take notice and realize that they don't have to separate ARVI to keep our interest. As the TRPs clearly indicate...this torturous love triangle of Arjun, Purvi, Ovi is getting old...and it's so unappealing to this audience. The uniqueness, youth, and mazingly awesome chemistry of this particular couple is what attracted so many new viewers in the first place. Messing it up by following this love triangle, misunderstanding and sacrifice crap makes absolutely no sense. It's not logical- its just dumb,

To the Creative Writing team of Pavitra Rishta:

I understand that it's a difficult job for you to constantly come up with fresh material to sustain this show but the apparent lack of planning in the past couple of weeks is what is ruining the magic right now.

The story has been stagnant and the character's growth stunted as you have taken us round the bend a number of times in this merry-go-round you call Pavitra Rishta. I'm here to let you know this really curbs the enthusiasm of the viewers... me included.

I'm not sure if you are even aware that you are (or maybe were) on the brink of something very extraordinary... a 'leap' into the 21st century. The world is a force of kinetic energy - constantly changing and evolving - so why use the same outdated story lines over and over again?

Since the introduction of the fresh new faces, PR has gained a new target audience - the revolutionary generation. You have opened a portal connecting PR with a wider, more youthful fan base. These new, zealous, modernist fans are hungry for that personal connection that exists (existed) between Arjun and Purvi.

They have identified with these characters on an intimate level and have been glued to their sets all through this romance. By reading the comments in this forum, it's very apparent the remarkable impact that these young actors have made on us all.

What you fail to understand though, is that this portal is closing now and closing fast - almost at warp speed. The viewers want to see progress (whichever way you wish to take the show) and when inertia sets in, as it has for the past few weeks, your audience will look to find this connection elsewhere.

Viewers are impressionable creatures and with the momentum that ARVI (Arjun and Purvi) has had you might not have been aware that you CAN promote and sustain a healthy, trusting relationship without losing viewer interest.

Instead of the usual pairings polluted with mistrust, deceit, and unrealistic reactions/expectations, why not showcase a strong couple like ARVI (used to be) challenging the status quo and converting minds/hearts with their Pavitra Rishta? Why not set an example of how today's youth are/could be handling their own life's demands while nurturing and maintaining healthy relationships?

Sadness and sacrifices increased TRPs in the days of yore but we belong to a different emotional world now. I maybe of the minority group but I feel people WANT and NEED to see good triumph, respect earned, courage rewarded and, most importantly, love blossom.

They want to see young men treat women with respect and to be able maintain healthy relationships. They want to see young women be self reliant and courageous. And when the two come together, they want to see how sweet, true and dynamic love can be.

Of course, there will be pitfalls and danger to spice up every story but as long as the integrity of the characters is maintained then this catalyst could launch PR into a whole new dimension creating higher ratings and sustained viewership.

Go ahead and try it CVs, you might be surprised by what you find!

Thank you for your time.

Laurie

For you Bee... thank you for the encouragement 😃

Well said Laurie!!!! You just outlined verbatim what we have been trying to tell the CVs and Balaji all this time. I think they themselves didn't realize how immensely successfully ARVI would end up being...they wanted to bring a fresh romance and some boost to the show...,and they succeeded way way beyond their wildest expectations...and drew in an entirely brand new audience they never thought they would manage to pull in. They succeeded beyond what they originally intended- which is why they have no idea what to do with it now. They need to take suggestions from posts like yours and Shyamala's!!

I've visited the forum sites of a couple of the other shows. The articulation, eloquence, and caliber of some of the writers in this forum by far surpasses anything I've yet seen. The fan base is huge and this track has the potential to put PR back at the very top---as long as they do damage control now. There is still enough time to clean up this mess and get this whole thing back on the right track.

You are right though---the portal is closing fast. There are quite a few people who were glued to their TV sets during the romance buildup of ARVi...and even more when they mutually confessed their love. However once the engagement fiasco took place, since then, the number of people who have actually ceased to watch the show and are relying on this forum has increased at an alarming rate---especially the more time passes. Numbers of actual viewers has dropped dramatically.

The misunderstanding between these 2 has to be cleared and quickly. Forbidden secret love we can tolerate...in fact it would be just awesome to see mutual whispers of love and longing, stolen glances, hugs, caresses, etc...and we would have so much fun and suspense watching to see how much they could get away with without getting caught. This current track though is making us lose interest really fast.

Oh Archana - Yes to the items in bold 😍 - only WHEN he breaks off his engagement to Ovi.

If they were to do that now while he's still engaged that would put me off completely. 🤢 If he tried to romance one girl with another girl's ring on his finger he would come off as a two timing cheater and that's NOT my Arjun Kirloskar!

I need him to have a debonair charm and a rigid belief in his love for Purvi - her above all others. ❤️

That's all I will accept. - nothing less. 😉

I outlined it best in my post...last part of "today's episode..my take" please read it everyone. Reason I say this is that it is a sincere suggestion to the CVs to turn things around and raise the TRPs. For 3 weeks we have been subjected to the torture of the misunderstanding between Purvi and Arjun. As a result many have stopped actually watching the show and are relying on the updates from the few people in the forum who can still stomach watching it---and somehow still have the fortitude to put it into words for the benefit of the rest of us so as to spare us the torture (hats off to u guys...we love u!!)

Now it is time for Arjun to face the very real possibility of losing Purvi's love and to take action...no matter what the consequences. This will win her back. And then u guys owe us some damn good ARVI scenes. And their PDA had better surpass the crap we had to see with Ovi. U better come up with something more intense and real than just a couple of hugs and split second handholding. Do this- (throw in some rain too of u want...no objections here) and u will probably get us to come running...just like we did when u fired this track up in the first place.

Enough of the misunderstandings. No sacrifice track either...this is a different generation which means a different audience. Unite ARVI...there is enough obstacles in their way to make a great story and add plenty of drama (again see the above mentioned post for ideas). Then let them unite ARMAN----which is Purvi's dream in the first place. CVs...please stay the course . We journalists have a saying..."What makes a great story is not in the story itself. It's in the telling."

Lovely post Arch .. Yes, the Cvs owe us some intense ARVI scenes, not the rushed-made-in-a-hurry ones and forced dialogues. I want to see something like the bench scene here again, something like the shiv-mandir scene, the airport scene once again .. I want to see PDA between the lead pair .. in the rain, right in front of Ovi!! and her clan .. in everyone's face.. thats what we want to see .. Why should Arjun hold Purvi's hands only in the dark.. pyaar kiya to darna kya .. do it in broad daylight ... 😳
