Cuckoo crow attacks damsels in distress

This is one hair-raising story that actors Dia Mirza, Raima Sen, Minissha Lamba and Sandhya Mridul will never forget. While the girls were in Goa recently shooting for the Farhan Akhtar-produced Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, they were attacked by a crow — one after the other!

Bird of prey

The girls were staying at Hotel Citadel. And whenever they packed up shooting early, they would hang out on the hotel's private beach. On that fateful day, the girls were not shooting and so they planned to hit the beach for the rest of the day.

Raima and Sandhya left their rooms early and reached the beach first. They were lying on the sun beds waiting for Dia and Minissha, when all hell broke loose.

Minissha was near the poolside restaurant, walking down the stairs that led to the beach, when she suddenly heard someone screaming. She saw Raima and Sandhya, who were just a little distance away, screaming and waving their arms at her.

"Hearing them scream, I thought a man was about to attack me. Suddenly, I felt my head being scratched very ferociously. I looked up and saw a huge crow sitting on my head. But before I could do anything, he flew away. I almost died in fear!"

Possessed

The same thing happened to Dia a little while later. Says Dia, "I thought that somebody was pulling my hair. I started running and the crow was still there on my head even when I was running. I think the bird was possessed."

Sandhya had been targeted first, because she was the first one to arrive on the beach. Raima was not spared either, and in fact, she was almost crying. So why didn't Sandhya, Raima and Minissha warn Dia about the bird? Dia laughs, "Hey, nobody warned me. I guess they wanted to have some fun. And I must say that crow was on some mission!"

Ladies only

So did they do anything about the crow? "What could we do? We let it live in insanity," laughs Minissha, adding, "But yes, we were very careful thereafter and avoided the area where he had attacked us."

Later, the girls saw a bald man also being attacked by the same crow. "We spoke to the hotel authorities, but they said that the mad crow attacks mostly women," says Dia.

Now that's really something!
