Vicky Donor to have a Hollywood remake?

After garnering unanimous acclaim, 'Vicky Donor' might be all set to go to Hollywood now. As the rumours pour in, we hear that there is going to be western treatment on a startlingly similar subject, where a man's sperms produce more than 500 kids. Apparently, superstar Vince Vaughn has been offered the role portrayed by Ayushmann Khurrana in the Indian version. Though, it is not clear whether the Hollywood movie will be an official copyright remake, or merely one being made on similar lines.

Director Shoojit Sircar's successful movie on the sensitive topic of sperm donation had, surprisingly, even managed to strike many a chord, which was hardly expected. First-time producer John Abraham has also managed to laugh all the way to the bank in the process, without compromising on the quality of the end-product. Regarding the Hollywood reports, Shoojit Sircar sounds delighted and has reportedly said that he is happy if his movie has influenced the westerners.

This certainly comes as a refreshing piece of news since it's usually we who are notorious at getting 'inspired' from foreign scripts. So if it's the other way round this time, we should be proud of it, for a change.
