THEY STILL CALL ME CHECHI!

Tanushri Ghosh is still basking in the success of her debut in Malayalam — Ee Adutha Kalathu. The actress, who was in Trivandrum recently to perform at an award night, says she was astounded by the reaction of people in Kerala. "Most people could recognise me and they were all calling me chechi, chechi. After the release, I haven't had the chance to interact with the public until now," she says. In the film, Tanushri plays the unhappy wife of an older person, who falls for the charms of a younger guy played by Nishan, who addresses her as chechi throughout the film. "Even on social networking sites, everyone, whether a fan or not, starts with a chechi. I didn't know those dialogues had such an impact," she laughs. And incidentally, she reveals that in real life, she is not at all old enough to be the mother of a 11-year-old as in the movie. "I'm 26, actually a year younger than Nishan."
